He is totally out his depth.ย  Tbh.

And the up and coming talent seems not to be plentiful.ย

Dark times for English ๐Ÿ cricket.

Central contracts seem to have bred laziness amongst a few of the squad and Silverwood doesn't seem capable of rectifying anything.

Woke up and watch the last 90 minutes.

Love the drama of test cricket when the pressure and tension builds.

Broad and Leach did well to hold on.

It's the start of progress hopefully.ย

The team has shown some pride and fight. Now hoping they can post a 350+ run total in Hobart next week.ย

Big fan of Jimmy and to watch him defend those last few balls was wonderful. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜…

It should give some confidence back, but it's also cautious optimism as you'll not see too many Day 5 pitches that are that easy to defend on. Pitch was very slow and flat, not much in it for the spinners, and once the ball got old - not much there for the seamers either.

Openers are still a huge problem. Hameed is gash and unsure how he has survived the 4 tests so far, Crawley shows flashes but can't be trusted to not do something daft and Burns is no better than OK.

Onto Hobart we go. Gutted about this one as I canโ€™t see another ashes test played there ever which would have made it good to have gone to this one. If only I was a Serbian and good at tennis.ย

Don't forget you're Huge Ego and "errors of judgement" when you get caught out being a lying prick.ย

Not you obviously. But that Serb shitehead

The thing is, I donโ€™t even think Australia have batted all-that well throughout the series.

England have been undone by their own batting collapses, and dropping catches.

So having various players making 100+ isn't batting well...?ย

Only Khawaja, Head, and Labuschagne have made centuries; Iโ€™d imagine thatโ€™s historically a low number for a team winning a series so comfortably.ย

Khawaja, Head, and Mitchell Starc are the only Australians averaging over 50 with the bat.

Iโ€™m not saying Australia have batted poorly, but England donโ€™t have the excuse of some previous series where a batch of world class batsmen have taken the series away from them.
