Goalkeeper No. 1 Priority!

Defence is #1 priority imo.

A strong centre half/captain who can lead by example and give the goalie confidence would always be my priority.

Then comes a good goalie, a strong midfielder and a dependable goal scorer. That soild spine through the middle can then be easily built around.

If hes not fit he should not be playing, average goalkeeper at his best. Robinson is another average goalkeeper. Simonsen is shocking and cant beleive he is actually employed by us. The young goalkeepers we had were better than what we have , although they were not trusted by mccoist. Not that they were great either. Its a shambles. We have always had good goalkeepers, a new keeper is a priority above every other position.

Brown is nowhere near the standard we require . Bell is an ok keeper and where we are are the moment as a club he is a reasonable level. We need 2 decent CBs and a RB for the defence before a new goalkeeper.

Bell is a Protected species who also allegedly has the same agent as mc call hence the unnecessary dropping of robinson

Furthermore Bell wouldn't have had holts save to make ( which looked to be going wide anyway) had the first goal not put qos on the front foot

Don't rate Bell after the good keepers we have had over the years .

He always seems nervous but agree we need to sort out the defense first.

What about giving young McCrorie a game? Maybe the play offs are a bit much for a young boy but by Fuck it can't be any worse than Bell Simo etc

17 is a bit young to be bringing through a goalie I reckon, might be a bit shy to command centre halves twice his age. Unless he is a real gem like Courtios or Casillas

Bell is by far the best of our goalkeepers but nowhere near the standard we were use to. Unfortunately we are where we are and until we can afford it he will remain our best choice. It is difficult to believe McCoist could have had Gordon but he kept both Simmenson and Gallacher instead

Had a look at the clips but feel most players can be made to look good on YouTube. Neither he or Bell are the quality we are use to or require but feel Robinson can suffer a rush of blood now and then. I did see him make his debut first time around at Ibrox . I would rather Kelly was given a chance next season

Lee Robinson has the worst positional sense I've seen in a Rangers keeper. He's quick off his line with decent distribution but he's not a great keeper.

If he's not saving them surely he's not in the right position

A reel of highlights proves fuck all though, the fact is Bell was an SPL keeper whereas Robinson moved between lower league teams. For what it's worth I wouldn't be against keeping him as backup but Bell is by far the better keeper IMO - he's just came back from an injury and has looked shaky, but the only way he'll get back to his best is with games.
