Rangers Football Club are offering the opportunity to work within the clubs 1st Team Performance Analysis department for the 2015/16 season. The position will be based at the club’s academy and at Ibrox on home match days. Cover at away matches will also be required in some instances. The successful applicant(s) will gain valuable experience and understanding of a performance analyst role, enabling them to pursue a career within football. You need to be able to travel to the Clubs training ground in Milngavie and Ibrox Stadium. Any travel required to away games would be covered by expenses if not on the team coach.

Working alongside the clubs 1st team Performance Analyst The role will include:

• Filming and capturing training sessions.
• Filming and capturing 1st team games.
• Working on pre and post-match analysis of the 1st team and forthcoming opponents.
• Individual player analysis.
• Delivering high quality output to the players and coaches in one to one sessions and team meetings.
• Working on player recruitment with the coaches / scouting dept.
• Other tasks requested by coaches or the First Team Analyst.

Desirable Requirements.
• Have or working towards a Sports Science / Performance Analysis degree.
• Have a technical understanding of football and tactics.
• High level of understanding new technologies and computer software, and AV equipment.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
• Reliable and trustworthy with sensitive data.
• Willing to commit to unsociable hours, including weekends and evenings.

You would benefit from the following.
• Experience and responsibility of working within a 1st team football club.
• Working with the Performance Analysis department as well as 1st team and academy players and coaches.
• Valuable hands on experience working with Wyscout, Sportscode Gambreaker, Focus X2, The Sports Office, Adobe Premiere, and many other programmes and software.

Qualifications

Have or working towards a Sports Science / Performance Analysis or similar degree

It seems a bit harsh to me that we want someone who is degree level educated to work for us unpaid. Surely we could at least throw in a minimum/living wage?

Tbf most of us would walk over broken glass to experience this.

It will look outstanding on the CV of whoever takes it.
