Think he was helped towards that decision by the Brighton board, informed by how the players seemed to chuck it when he started wondering out loud about his future elsewhere. Unwillingly and only because he's an academy product and it helps get them out of their FFP hole. Unless the EPL change their rules again, just in time for the new season. He seemingly wanted more control over transfers too, but the transfers he actually pushed for (Dahoud, Fati, Igor) haven't really worked out to put it lightly. Stonewall penalty for City got cleared by VAR after less than 30 seconds. Then City just couldn't even seem to be able to pass the ball correctly. Ten Bob's tactics of the long ball along with constant time-wasting by his keeper worked today. Poorest performance from City in a long time. The Wembley experience was decent enough though. Just one of those difficult days when both my teams lose and I had hoped both would win. Fitbaw can be cruel. But it's only a game.
