We signed four injury prone midfielders this summer in Kranjcar, Rossiter, Crooks and Windass. At least one of them we won't see again this season, if ever, and the others we've barely seen anything of. I don't think they are all 'injury prone'. Krancjar and Crooks both had long term injuries, which the both recovered from. Kranjcar was unfortunate to pick up a 'freak' injury in training. Crooks is still fit by all accounts, just isn't first choice. Windass is adjusting to a new more demanding regime, and getting lumps kicked out him every week. I'm sure he'll adapt. Rossiter is the only one that's injury prone, both at us and Liverpool.

Rossiter was known to be a sicknote Crooks was getting an operation once his league campaign finished so also injured it was bad planning on Warburton and the coaching staffs part. kyleh1872 87
he has a history of injuries from his time at Liverpool, if i was MW and medical team. I would want to investigate why he is so prone to injury, and maybe thats what they are doing. he could be doing a lot of strength and conditioning work to try and prevent the injury from occurring in the future. when MW refers to players as "assets" rossiter optimizes this. Young lad with a lot of potential, they probably view keeping him on the sidelines for 6 months and working on his flexibility, strength etc to hopefully prevent injuries more important that trying to get him fit as soon as possible. that way you have a young lad with a lot of potential who has overcome past injuries and his legs are now made of steal as opposed to candy floss. WATP-FOREVER 5,231
Since we signed him, he's played more England U21 than us. Came with such a profile, the new SG. Let's see in the New Year, hopefully he'll be 100%.

If he is as highly rated as he was meant to be when we signed him then personally I'd punt him to whoever paid the most, but in all honesty I doubt any cunt would pay much for him. He was supposed to be captain & star of England U-19's or U-21's, so how come no rich English team took him when he was available? And if he was that special, how come his old boss Brenda wasn't interested? Definitely something strange about the whole situation.

GaryMc 2,398
Out of interest has Rossiter been in the training pics etc with the rest of the team? Bluepeter9 5,167
Player injured - queue the conspiracy theorists - Rossiter injury prone, training regime, etc etc - look at the waghorn rumours - fat, working his ticket, disinterested - reality he was just injured and working back to fitness. Not seen any Willie Vass training pics in a while so wondering if he's at least been around the squad. The answer to that is; NO, Gary; and he hasn't been since he got the latest injury. That is not unusual as players with injuries spend all their days at the relevant recuperation treatment specialists, until they are at a stage when they can start jogging/running under the watchful eye of Gary Sherriff, the strength and conditioning coach. No drama! If it were just Rossiter with the injuries then you'd have a point with that usual melodramatic post of yours but we either aren't doing medicals correctly or we have shite fitness coaches (there was criticism of Flannighan at Hibs) or it could just be plain bad luck .. The point is you can't blame people for asking the question
