They can't commit to giving him anything over 12 months right now because they don't have the capital. If he gets them to the group stages then it funds another 12 months maybe? He doesn't really have a track record of success yet is on massive wages and will demand a hefty transfer budget. Hopefully I'm proved correct, but I don't see this as a worrying appointment.
