Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
This is going to be an interesting weekend, with Papac suspended the rumours are that both Smith and Whittaker still won't be fit for the weekend, do we go with an adventurous 3-5-2 formation as Thomson should be fit, or is Dailly going to be drafted in at Right back with Kirk playing on the left, favoured option for me is giving a youngster a chance to shine. For a 4-4-2 formation this is my preferred: -------------------------------McGregor-------------------------- Broadfoot------Bougherra---------Weir-----------Kinniburgh Davis-------Mendes-------------Thomson-----------Beasley --------------------Boyd--------Miller--------------------- If we do adopt a 3-5-2 formation then this is what I'd like to see ---------------------------McGregor-------------------------- ------Bougherr-------------Weir-----------------Broadfoot Davis------Mendes----------Edu----------Thomson----Beasley -----------------Boyd------------Miller--------------------- As was shown in the Celtic game Walter does sometimes through up a wee suprise every now and then. Agree fully... Although would like to see Nacho, but depends on how the game is going, if we are comfortable then Aaron must get game time Definitely want to see DMB get a run in the side
Cumbria_blue 51
I'd play Edu in Thomson's place tbh. Edu has still to get used to the SPL. Thommo easily the best pick for now. But he needs to play games to do that, so I'd play him.
Guest Andypendek
Can't play Beasley after Saturday, Novo earned a start. A 3 man defence against Motherwell is a bit risky when one of the 3 is Weir, not the fastest. Adam starting to look as if he has some hunger again. So. McGregor, Broadfoot, Weir, Bougherra, Whittaker/Dailly Davis, Mendes, Thomson, Novo Miller, Boyd

Novo or Adam would be better suited for that.

nvager 498
It appears that Whittaker and Smith are unfit. In that scenario maybe Edu will play at LB? McGregor Broadfoot Weir Magic Edu Davis Thomson Mendes Lafferty Miller Boyd Maybe Aaron will get some time. My guess is that Motherwell will be tired after their game on Thursday and we will win by three goals.
Davy 68
McGregor Broadfoot Weir Bougherra Papac Davis Mendes Thomson Beasley Boyd Lafferty Papac was red carded last match. Ahh shit, just habit sticking him in there! I'd play Whittaker then if he was fit, if not I'd have one of the young lads play.
port_bear 86
I'm going to be slightly controversial here and suggest that we match them man for man on Sunday and go with an attacking 4-3-3 formation. We all know that Motherwell will play a similar formation so if we match them and take them game to them (as the scum did on Saturday) the are vulnerable at the back. My team would be….. McGregor Broadfoot…….Weir……Bougherra……Whittaker Thomson Mendes……..Davis Novo…….Boyd…….Miller Our midfield three of Mendes, Thomson and Davis has enough quality to control the game and the pace of Novo and Miller either side of Boyd will cause them all manner of problems. Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
Some good news on the defensive front, it looks like Whittaker might be fit enough to play this weekend. Meanwhile, Walter Smith could have Steven Whittaker back for this weekend's game against Motherwell at Ibrox. Sasa Papac is suspended and it looks as though the former Hibs player will be drafted in as cover. "Steven is looking as though he will be fit for the weekend and if that's the case he can come back in," Smith told the Rangers News. "Both he and Kirk Broadfoot can play in either full-back position so we will see. They have both featured at left-back so we'll make a decision nearer the game." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/displa...2447900.0.0.php
