Lee Wilkie and Don Cowie - our bosman signings for next season (tu)

With Ally McCoist as Manager :anguish:

And his dreams of an all Scottish 11 will finally come true after having to reduce the wage bill even further and sell the likes of Mendes and Davis.

What is the source of this?

It's been reporetd in numerous newspapers over the past few weeks.

Indeed, we've been getting linked with Cowie as well as Chris Hogg for almost a year now.

Chris Hogg?

I'll be honest with you mate thats the first time I have heard that one :anguish:

I'm sure i read something about us being linked with him when i was surfing 'the board that shall not be named' a while back.

We were linked with Chris Hogg a few weeks ago. When the Dean Shields rumour came out I went over to Hibs.net - there was a thread on Hogg and Rangers.

Can't see it myself - Hogg is hopeless.

DON COWIE insists he won’t get excited about Rangers’ supposed interest until he hears it for real.

The Caley Thistle ace, 25, has been linked with a switch to Ibrox.

His dwindling contract allows him to negotiate with interested clubs from January 1.

The midfielder said: “You are made aware of the speculation by boys in the dressing room.

“That’s the first you hear about it. Football is about speculation and that’s what sells papers.

“But I’ve not heard anything concrete from these teams, so I’ll keep my head down and try to do well for Caley.

“Until someone says to me ‘I want to sign you’, there’s nothing for me to think about.”

Cowie, who spent eight years at Ross County before 18 months in Inverness, admits he’s got ambitions to play at a higher level.

But he has not ruled out staying in Inverness, despite rejecting the club’s first offer.

He said: “I have my fiancee Shelley and daughter Ava to think of.

“That’s one of the main reasons I didn’t sign the contract offered.

“I decided I wasn’t in the right frame of mind then even to discuss it. But I’ll speak to the club again.”

Cowie’s happy with the cash injection for boss Craig Brewster to spend in January.

He said: “We definitely need to add a couple of players to the squad and also work to retain one or two others.”

And he’s clear on the task this weekend when they face Motherwell.

He said: “We will go down and try to win the game but every match is massive at the moment.”

Caley have doubts over midfield pair Ian Black and Russell Duncan while striker Rory McAllister misses out.
