Who’s paying money for Goldson when he didn’t get any offers on the back of a European final, and has got much worse since? Even the Saudi’s aren’t that mental. There’s some players that you just want off the wage bill to use it elsewhere more effectively. Goldson, Davies, Matondo are probably £100k in wages a week that offer very little anymore (or ever).

At the time I thought it was downright cheating. Now seeing that first foul back, I think it’s the right call. I’d be raging if it wasn’t given for us. Thing is it probably wouldn’t be for us.
