markybear 136
Heard a radio caller make a serious claim tonight.he reckoned ibrox was riddled with asbestos. With a possible expense of £10mill to get rid of it.Is this common knowledge, rumour/speculation or as yet unknown?. I think he was a Tim but not sure, didn't catch the whole call. Not great if accurate, anyone shed some light?

Mark-Penny 31
I'm pretty sure asbestos is fine unless it is disturbed and that's when it can cause problems. So if there is nothing being knocked down then no need to worry.
Thommo 708
A quick google search came up with 2 posts from last year claiming this, both from "Celtic rumours" and "Rangers rumours".It'll be a load of shite.

Not great if accurate, anyone shed some light? Why would asbestos be anywhere near our stadium .Sadly another deluded rodent trying to drum up more bad shit out of jealousy and spite for Scotland's Premier club .They just hate they will never have our history but thank God we don't have theres. JM1872 3,714
Gd to knowNothing against you mate, I'd have maybe believed the caller had a claim were it not for the fact that "he reckons"... who is he exactly? A shop attendant no doubt, some wee slimy character who sits and wanks over Fhil fortynames blogs.
boss 1,941
I heard it was going to cost £400 million billion to fix. It was posted by philmcmanslaughter on kerrymindedhuddleboard, so I know it's true.

Uncle Fester 186
There are two types White that was used in roof sheeting mostly which is not dangerous and blue which is extremely dangerous, They stopped using blue in the middle sixties so it wont be in any of the three more modern stands and the main would not have had it when built as it was not in use at that time, all in all a complete load of shite.
