Not just beaten but given a footballing lesson by a "Championship team" finished them. Four years obsessing on Rangers while they could have been building a dominant position it might have taken a decade to break down. The semi final was the last straw and even they now know they're only winning that league because Aberdeen are so bad not because they are so good. The writing was on the wall when they were being bitch slapped by the minnows of Europe but still they stuck their heads in the sand and claimed a superiority that only existed in their fantasies. Their next nightmare aside from actual competition for the league is us winning the Scottish cup while stepping out of the Championship and straight back into Europe with "a bunch of league 1 rejects" then outdoing their recent performances in European competition. It was one of the things I saw them fretting over when I had a look at their forums after last Sunday. They're STILL more obsessed with what we're doing and what we might do next than they are about clinching that league. Perhaps obsession is the greatest form of flattery in this instance. They bought into the fantasy spoon fed to them from Sutton and Hartson about the huge gulf in class and it must have been a huge shock to realise they were being pandered to by their "legends" as we passed them off the park. They are the one's who spend time thinking up, plagiarising and misquoting statements for their banners. They are the one's who look like a complete laughing stock to the outside world when they can't get the spelling of basic words or names associated with their club correct. They are the ones who spend, I would imagine, large amounts of cash on their trashy banners when some of the money would be better spent on hiring a proof reader, a home tutor, or a taxi to try and get a few of them together to make up enough brain cells to check the spelling. Long may they carry on making a complete arse of themselves! The spelling will only get worse, the big, bad Rangers are back and, rightly so, they are getting nervous!
