Some suggest fans reacted to Stein's goal, others suggest there was congestion and possibly falling before Stein scored as the fans were leaving before the final whistle. This is the most interesting account I have read and suggests an initial fall was to blame, not the reaction to the late goal. https://thegreatcritique.wordpress.com/tag/ibrox-disaster/ The disaster began some minutes after the final whistle and that account is correct about the cause being someone being carried on shoulders taking a fall. tannerall 25,935
Unfortuntely assists were not accounted for until recent years, but I suspect Alan Morton, Willie Henderson and Tommy McLean especially would figure at the top, The two Derek's, Johnstone and Parlane scored so many goals from McLean's pin point crossing and passing.(As did Colin Jackson from crosses). As a Chinaman do you include Hong Kong as a separate country ? And some time in the near future you could be adding an independent Scotland to the list. Never been to HK though. Scotland will never be "independent."
