mitre_mouldmaster 21,509
Absolutely nothing to do with us.Would be quite happy for the OldCo lose it and for them to realise that there is absolutely nothing they can do to effect us.Not really fussed either way to be honest. mitre_mouldmaster 21,509
Will this have any effect on us either way?None what-so-ever.All our legal liabilites to that matter have been concluded. The NewCo transfer has ensured that all attached problems have gone away. The LNS ruling has also put to bed any ideas of titlestripping historic titles. This will not be reopened. And there will be a shitload of EPL clubs liable too. If the Oldco are found guilty then the floodgates should open.
Blue Nosed Babe 20,659
I think this might be the final bite of the cherry for HMRC but don't quote me on it.Remember the appeal is on points of law and not cause they did not like the verdict. The 2 in favour of us were the law experts. Muirheadbear 1,483
I would still like to know why we were targeted specifically and why they have pursued us so relentlessly.Exactly! Do you remember one of the rhats' conspiracy theories a few years back? It was the Establishment one. They claimed highest powers in the land eg Goverment, police, masons were all in it together plotting against the shettlestons!!You've got to laugh. Well apart from the 'vhisitors' who will no doubt inhabit this thread in their droves?Alright Finton? How's the sphincter muscle?

ZZed 4,510
I would still like to know why we were targeted specifically and why they have pursued us so relentlessly.Because the Labour party in Glasgow and surround areas are highly biased in favour of Septic. Old Labour parliamentarians are involved with Septic along with Glasgow City Council; they have called favours and influenced the Tax man to pursue us remorselessly so their main rivals are crippled. The SNP government turns a blind eye because the tarnishing or destruction of one of the most visible symbols of Unionism suits the independence cause. Muirheadbear 1,483
Hope we win it and Murray grows a set and goes after folk like Spiers. If 'they' do this appeal will go to the Supreme Court. It's said that the higher the level of appeal goes to the more HMRC wins! They have the time and resources to go all the way with this - and they will.Incidentally, I don't feel that this dispute affects us anymore. In fact losing the appeal allows BDO to go after Murray, Lloyds and Whyte in a big way and frankly I want to know the whole story if that (IMO) shady transaction. Why not take the settlement offered by SDM? Why so aggressive? Why when chasing such sums are they able to add penalties and interest to a retrospectively closed loopholes? Two words IMO. John Reid. I am sure they could have chased many clubs for lesser amounts to win the trial case they apparently need. Why are they continuing spending taxpayers money for no chance of recuperation from Rangers? There is more than a feel of test case here.
rangersfc77 170
An instigated witch hunt by HMRC and anyone who believes any different will be unwittingly allowing another generation of Rangers fans to be hounded, old-co must keep up the fight and tax payers must petition about the corrupt goings on
