Me and @JCDBigBear en route to Edinburgh today to pay our respects. 
 
Written a wee note attached to the flowers which says ‘thank you for everything, your memory will live on.’ Going to be an emotional day.  

Few edjits otherwise, Scotland really showed that Unionism and the monarchy is stronger than ever.
My old battalion were on the square at the palace of holyrood house, the honour I felt today seeing faces ive worked/served with in the years past, made me feel so proud.
Bestowed honour was the bearer party today who carried Her Majesty into holyrood house, the C/S incharge of that was a boy... now a man i went through training with many moons ago. I shed a tear, the pride beaming out of me.

I'm really struggling with the thought of her no longer being our Queen.  My first memories in life are of our neighbours coming into our house to watch her Coronation on our small black & white TV.   We had to close the curtains to see it better.   I've been fortunate enough to have been reasonably close to her on a number of occasions over the years.   I have been lucky to have lived through her entire reign.
Life will never be quite the same.

As we enter 10 days of mourning, I sincerely hope sports events are not going ahead.
Some things are more important

It’s actually strange and really sad to think there will be no Queen’s Speech this Christmas. Something I always looked forward to and had a glass of champagne ready for. What she said always hit the right note. 
 
Also things like stamps and coins will change, subtle changes but lots of them. A bit unsettling particularly as she’s the monarch I’ve been brought up with and she’s always been there.

Former President Donald Trump expressed his "sincere condolences" in a statement about the death of Queen Elizabeth II, saying he and former first lady Melania "will always cherish our time together with the Queen."
Trump's statement is below:
