What is the role of Josh Windass in this team?  Is he suppose to be a striker, out wide on the right, or does he just drift around looking to make late runs in the box?

Really hope we don’t have yet another manager with a complete blind spot when it comes to Windass’s contribution.

The longer this goes on the worse it gets.

We're too static and pedestrian. Lack of quick passes and movement. Finding it difficult to create space up front.

Rinse and repeat

Where is the creativity

To be fair if we could finish it would be at least 3-0

I mentioned it earlier but our pitch is a fucking disgrace. I know it's new and has still to bed in but that's no excuse when this is our first competitive game.

If Gerrard keeps going with Windass this season he is as useless as his predecessors, Windass being shite at everything mixed with Morelos point blank refusal to learn how to finish is killing us.

Only attacking threat is Tav from RB. Badly need a quality replacement for Windass

PMSL. Every team we play in future will continue to target Tavernier. It guarantees them chances. The guy hasn't got a clue.

We are absolutely fucking dire. If gerrard is relying on windass, murphy, and mcrorie to win him anything, we may as well chuck it right now.

Absolutely NO Progress since this same stage last season (Pun intended). Disgrase!

Hope Middleton gives us an edge. Dread to say it but, if it ended now, there's nothing so far that suggests we're any better than Warburton, Caixinha or Murty "era" Rangers.

It's so shit watching teams park the bus against us.

It makes for very frustrating  football.

FFS morelos.

Except it was his work-rate and tackling at the right-back area that started the move for the goal...

Windass' biggest attribute last season was his goal return. His biggest failing was his work rate. Tonight his work rate has been impressive. It's the most involved I have seen him in a long time. He's also still getting into great positions. Sadly his finishing, his big strength last season has went missing tonight. However if he can keep up his work rate and get his goal return from last season i'd be delighted. Hopefully he can get the right balance...........
