There needs to be a rule that the team kicking the ball out for an injury that the ball needs returned . Now my timescale could be a bit out .but I reckon this sporting gesture started about 20yrs ago .and teams were doing it regular .my memory tells me that around 10yrs ago there was some kind of FIFA directive stopping this as there were complaints about time wasting and taking the decision away from the ref on stopping play .That was the same time when Refs were told only to stop play for head injuries . Look at the furore today after what happened yday at something that didn't affect the outcome of the game .
