The Porteous and Cosgrove red cards last week wouldn't even have been fouls back in the 90s. They would have been brilliant tackles. slimjim1690 4,534 Posted December 28, 2019 Share Posted December 28, 2019 Everytime Souness gets mentioned nowadays it's because everyone remembers his tackles (wild or otherwise) but what seems to get lost in these conversations is the fact that Souness was a brilliant world class midfielder who played in a brilliant Liverpool team, I have absolutely no doubt that he would have adapted his style if he were playing nowadays and still have been regarded as one of the worlds top midfielders.
