He was the best paid manager in Scotland in the 4th fucking tier, it's complete pish that no one would touch the job. He had a unique opportunity to build a really young exciting squad that could grow together going up through the divisions, but he was terrified of drawing the tims in the cups and taking a record defeat, so he spunked so much bad faith money on average SPL shite like Ian Black, Kevin Kyle, Fran Sandaza, Dean Shiels, Steven Smith, Jon Daly, Nicky Law just on the off chance that if we drew them in the cups, we'd take a loss but not get embarrassed, I get why he couldn't be connected to that emotionally, but it was another reason why he shouldn't have been anywhere near the job in the first place. He's my favourite all time Ranger though so I'm happy with the praise he is getting. -
