Alves and Mccrorie or cardoso. Martin and bates are a disaster waiting to happen and would cost us against celtic.

Beating celtic, a cup win (or at least final appearance) and finishing well out of sight of Aberdeen in second. All very modest ambitions for Rangers but the absolute minimum he must achieve to be considered.

I hadn't seen much of him before he came to us and his appearances have been fleeting but can't say I'm hugely impressed with what I have seen. Touch and hold up play not particularly good in my opinion. Hopefully he'll improve with more minutes, I do think he's a confident finisher.

Realistically it's not happening. Aberdeen aren't going to beat them today and i can't see us, with the way we defend, beating them twice. For it to happen we'd need to be more or less perfect for the rest of the season, we just aren't good enough to go on that sort of run.

Another defeat at all and we're bolloxed. I'd love to think we could put half a dozen wins on the bounce but I just can't see it with this team.

It's not just his distribution. He cannot control or kick a football in the way you'd expect a professional footballer to be able to. His tendency to use his hand comes form being unable to adjust and shape his body in the way you'd expect a professional footballer to. He's not even a good defender. He came on against Hibs away and won a few headers and that was enough for people who don't know anything about football to rate him. Shocking player. Nowhere near good enough. Not his fault and clearly he does his best. I'll await the tantrums and vitriol on here against him when he costs us dearly in the next couple of months.

Aside from Rangers I mainly watch rugby. Very rarely watch a whole 90 minutes of football that's not us. Rugby walks all over football for player commitment and effort. To become wealthy through rugby you've got to be at the top, or very near the top. That creates a level of competition you just don't see in football any more.

Martin and Bates are horrific. Absolutely awful central defensive partnership. The lack of quality at centre back and lack of physicality in centre midfield will see us beaten against celtic next month.

Dorrans has shown his ability but certainly not for us (yet).

So he's boasting about the players who finished 3rd last season, will likely finish 3rd this season and have proven themselves time and again I'll equipped to deal with playing for Rangers. When supporters talk about "Tav" and "Wes" and Windass it's like they forget these guys have been mainstays in a Rangers team that's lost at home to St Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Hibs, etc. Not good enough. I wouldn't be sorry to see any of them leave. Nobody in our squad is currently indespenisble.

I'm too young to remember when Scotland had quality players but looking back on their record, we still did extremely poorly at major tournaments.
