  1. I'd be quite happy with a 5 team league. Us, them, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen. The only matches where there is any real atmosphere.
  2. I don't know the guy apart from by sight but anyone who calls our supporters scum, especially if it was because they had the temerity to attend matches whilst he boycotted, is never a Rangers fan.
  3. You make 2 good points that will never be aired by the Scottish press or media because: a) it is negative about the scum and not Rangers b) there is an element of truth in it
  4. Yes noticed that myself. It would be interesting to know why this is the case. The reports in the week after the game certainly portrayed this as related to the match, albeit iirc, the lad and his son watched it in a pub. No surprise that the cunt(s) who hit the young bear with the bottle have never been caught, largely thanks to the self proclaimed best supporters in the world closing ranks and protecting the hard men.
  5. Is it possible yes. Is it probable no. Watching the EPL this season should inspire every club in the SPFL to raise their game against the scum. If Leicester can top the league, Stoke can beat City and Bournemouth can win at Chelsea then there is no reason why all the teams in the Scottish Premiership shouldn't be confident every time they face the 'champions elect'.
  6. You are Pep, who would you choose and when would you start? I imagine that all 3 would take him tomorrow if he made himself available. I think he will, at the latest, start next season as manager of one of the above. Mourinho has been great for Chelsea but I'm sure he would be quickly forgotten by the fans as Guardiola sides play far more attacking and exciting football. The biggest challenge at City is the CL where they have been woeful to say the least. I think he would need to make major changes to the squad but this may be the most enticing club as it would offer the chance to make more significant history than at the Bridge or Old Trafford. Fergie would love to get him at Old Trafford to kick start United success. I think he has been happy that Moyes and LVG have highlighted how great he was but that they can't stagnate any longer and even now it is unlikely United will win the PL or CL. I can't see him leaving Bayern until the summer but I think if he wins the CL then he may feel his German challenge is complete and see it as the ideal time to cross from mainland Europe. Opinions?
  7. Was that to keep Ostenstaad or just for the night?
  8. Especially when he was upset at going to a match and sitting in the stand to watch that shite. At least now he has time off to watch a good team
  9. No longer the Special One that's for sure. Chelsea not a team just a group of overpaid foreign individuals who couldn't give a toss about their club, support or manager. Man City were also a disgrace today. I can see it being a battle between them to get Guardiola in but I don't see him leaving Bayern until the summer at the earliest. Main reason being Bayern are a far better side than City or Chelsea and have a much better chance of winning the CL. Indeed I dont think a Man City/Chelsea select would beat Bayern.
  10. His first opponent as a manager is against Barcelona. Not just his first game as Valencia manager but his first ever game as a manager. Incredible appointment when you consider that fact. No point him starting his managerial career with a lower league club as he has only ever played for Man Utd and England but still a massive gamble by Valencia.
  11. Thanks for posting. Brings back some great memories. Whilst the EPL goes from strength to strength as the best marketed league in world football they would give anything for an English rivalry like ours with the scum. Granted they're not to keen on the Glasgow version. Only the incompetent and corrupt numpties running Scottish football would cut their noses off to spite their faces and do everything in their power to bring a halt to their greatest asset. And they wonder why they struggle for media and sponsorship deals. Without us and them there is no Scottish football. No competition,no excitement or passion. Just a product that resembles amateur football from real football countries.
  12. Beat me to it. Can't think of a better debut. Just one of many injuries that have prevented us from more glorious history, particularly in Europe. Baxter leg break, Kuznetsov, Mols, Durrant and Rosenthal probably worst 5 to top (some of our best or potentially best) players which greatly diminished the players' abilities and also badly affected the team, particularly our challenge in Europe.
  13. So travel problems making it difficult or impossible for fans to make the match shouldn't be taken in to consideration? Can't imagine too many fans would be happy for a match to be played if they couldn't get to the ground.
  14. I can understand Raith Rovers being desperate to play the match for financial reasons but this is ridiculous. The closure of the bridge should have been considered and the match postponed as a result. I will be surprised if the game is not postponed with fans on their way to the match.
  15. That's what it says online. Jackson should not be allowed to get away with this one.
  16. Surprised nobody has referred to Jackson's line where he states: It also suggests that Warburton is itching to get away. To grab the first big money ticket going back to the league he left behind. Is he basically calling the manager a liar? Warburton should consider suing Jackson and his rag whilst Jackson should be banned for life and the Record banned for at least the rest of the season. The Board, Murray in particular, must be seen to act to defend the manager and the club. They must cut their ties with this paper. Granted they done well out of their alliance with it when they were chasing power but now they have the power to make the papers dance to our tune.
  17. The silence from all of the usual mouthpieces is incredible and a bigger case of double standards would be hard to find. The hypocrisy of the football authorities is staggering. Even the fact that the main sponsor is a bookmaker when players are banned from betting is incredible.
  18. What happens when the fortnight's up, do they cut him down?
  19. A true Rangers legend and very underrated at that. Iirc Burns was raging because it was not the done thing for a Rangers player to call their manager. I don't think Fergie would have been a pall bearer for that Rangers hater.
  20. Better things to ride mate anyway (and I don't mean that slapper Lorraine Kelly as per the other thread)
  21. Did Gazza beat the greyhounds when he was riding the bike at the Albion?
  22. It's obviously not worth anything or that cunt Whyte would have sold itAs with everything in the trophy room it is an important part of our history
  23. Certainly no love or sympathy for tlb but can't help but feel sympathy with the Bolton fans. After everything we have been through it still angers me that football fans are at the mercy of owners/boards who mismanage or are reckless with their responsibilities. They just don't get that their main role is to ensure the long term survival and history of the club.
  24. Whilst all good and well having a Plan A successful teams also have other go to plans if Plan A isn't working.Whilst I agree that lumping the ball to a big centre forward should not be Plan A I have no problem with this being a variation of the tactics should the need arise. Just look at the number of times goalkeepers are sent up for free kicks and corners when sides are desperate for a goal. If Schmeichel had stayed in his goal Ferguson would not have won his first European Cup. I am very encouraged with what Warburton is doing with the football structure away from the first team. Indeed I have been more impressed with his 'Director of Football' actions than some of his first team managerial decisions and comments. Rangers started the season fantastically well but there has been a few games where we have struggled and at times he has been found wanting with his team selections and rigid formation and tactics. Fortunately we are in the Championship and have won almost all of our games. Next season will not be so easy regardless of how poor we view the top league. Bearing in mind where we were when he took over I would give him 7/10 to date. He has done well but we are still very much a work in progress and are still several players short.
  25. I would hope they have enough interest in Rangers though. We regularly get over 40k at Ibrox so it is not a big stretch to fill Hampden, especially if ticket prices are reasonable. Remember this may be a mickey mouse trophy but it is one we have never won. As we will also never have been bigger favourites to win a cup final I imagine most of our fans will want to be there.
