  1. Ahh OK But would be surprised if Sky were happy with that - would assume they would want contracted games to go ahead? Who knows - we can have games with crowds tomorrow but not on Sunday, that makes as much sense as any of this shite!!!
  2. Games aren't cancelled - just behind closed doors? I would imagine that means they play the OF game with no fans - or have I got it wrong?
  3. Was in there on Tuesday - no sign of Ange but they did do a lovely pecan caramel cheesecake!!
  4. Think they have seven games to the winter break - if Kyogo is out for that run of games would ramp up the pressure on them in the league (as much as I want them to lose in the final, it's the game I care least about in December/January).
  5. I have one of those stupid wee apps that update my diary on the computer - just noticed today , it's moved Stirling Albion in the Cup to Friday. But can't find it confirmed anywhere Just a glitch, or have Premier Sports moved us to Friday night again??
  6. No understanding of why this pen is being discussed as 'soft' or is considered in any way doubtful. The view from behind the goal is clear and you can see th4e contact being made. It's a pen 100 times out 100. Honestly, if that had been Morelos on a Hibs player in the box, they would only be debating why he wasn't sent off - and I genuinely think that would be the case!
  7. McLaughlin is a no brainer - as would another year for McGregor assuming he's interested. Outfield, Balogun is worth keeping if Goldson leaves - he's right footed and far better playing that side rather than on the left. If Goldson signs, then he could maybe be moved on to free up wages. I'd keep Davis/Arfield around as long as they're not stopping younger players coming through
  8. Goldson was going to be in it, but just wasn't really feeling that whole Christmas thing
  9. For the recent Scotland games it was a row of G4S types at the top of the road that runs off Cathcart Road down to the West and North stands at Hampden - hold your phone up, walk through. You could probably hold up the QR from your last Amazon delivery and they would let you through. Was slow getting in with tickets - but SFA have gone with a really shite print at home ticket system that's a nightmare to use, so folk were turning up with QR's on random bits of paper too big to fit in the scanners - should be fine with proper tickets at the Semi
  10. Not in dugout, but will be at the game - direct quote from Ross Wilson in his interview
  11. Greig fucked around with the Johnstone, Smith, Cooper front line - for no apparent reason other than to put his mark on things. But was also tactically inept - and didn't have the character and man management of Wallace. Started to dismantle the 78 team, then ran smack bang into Alex Ferguson and Jim McLean, who had him in their back pocket Wallace never had a chance in his second spell, playing staff wise we were all over the shop, and don't think the money was there to build a new team until Murray turned up Though probably still my favourite time going to games
  12. Greig took a team that should have romped the league in 79 and destroyed them - still to me one of the worst decisions the club ever made, was a brutal manager. Still hate the scoreline 4-2 because of the game at parkhead at the end of that season! Only saw him as a player right at the end of his career too - when he was pretty awful, so never thought of him as a club legend, the way (even) older Bears do
  13. Just for context Was in London on holiday with my folks in 1980 - Arsenal v Juventus in Cup Winners Cup Semi Final. Tube up to the ground on spec and bought a ticket from the ticket office before kick off, think it was a few pounds, certainly well within the scope of my pocket money. Was at 82 World Cup, tickets were a few quid, same in Mexico in 86 and grounds were half empty, In 1990 in Italy, suddenly it was hard to get tickets, by 1998 near impossible Football didn't really get popular or expensive until well into the late eighties, early nineties - lots of factors but live games on TV built the popularity, before then you could go to the majority of games and pay cash. Mid 70's kids were lifted over the turnstiles with Polis and turnstile guy there - was just accepted practice. Certainly was nothing to do with Rangers being poor during that period - used to go to all sorts of games in Scotland, could pay cash for Dundee Utd in the later stages in Europe, even went with pals at school to European games at Parkhead, just to watch the game, was walk up and pay a few quid to get in - and no, I wasn't supporting them. Tried one year as a kid to go to as many games as I could in one season, ended up going to something like 80 games (and this was before you would ever see a game on a Sunday, Thursday or Friday). Was buttons to get in, did it all on money I made on a paper round and I don't think I ever remember seeing a game sold out. And a dubious claim to fame is I went to every league and domestic cup game managed by John Grieg! So everything that came after was definitely bought and paid for doing that period!
  14. Ticket just arrived in the post Surprisingly efficient by the ticket office! Section D5 - up towards the East Stand, so not surprisingly we're getting the whole North Stand
  15. Had there Visa debit issue, no problem with Mastercard
  16. It's showing for me, says purchased and then a price of £0 - I signed up for all cup games but not a MyGers member Not sure if others have a price attached to their order history?? To be honest, quite surprised I got one - if it's correct - assumed without MyGers I was out of the running for semi and final tickets??
  17. Team seems incredibly lethargic out of possession - last season we were definitely snapping at balls and picking up possession, this season they genuinely just don't look up for it. Same players, but massive difference
  18. I think he's a better player than a lot give him credit for on here - find the transfer fee hard to believe , though I notice the official Bournemouth sources are saying undisclosed fee, not £2.5M - so we have no real idea of what he actually went for and how much they made , how much is in incentives etc Actually quite pleased he's away
  19. For the Scotland games coming up (Denmark and Austria) have no away fans allowed - though home tickets were easy to come by and travel restrictions if double vaxed seem to be OK. Denmark update their restrictions every Friday - we are currently amber (it changed last Friday). Hopefully trending in the right direction Assume there will be a ruling on group games and October International fixtures - the current away ban was for the September Internationals and qualifiers only. So hopefully hear quite soon. Any idea when the actual fixture dates come out - is that today as well??
  20. Hogarth is a keeper - saw him for the B Team, wasn't great. But would be McCrorie if both first choice keepers are out - so less of an issue
  21. Stevie Clarke quoted as saying McLaughlin wasn't included in the Scotland squad as he had 'a wee problem' to deal with - so I think it's fair to say that he (and maybe we can assume by association, McGregor?) is likely to be out. So could be McCrorie or Firth for the next few games
  22. They're a different prospect from a few weeks ago - movement going forward is good and they have a natural finisher. Defence is weak Going to be an interesting game in a few weeks
  23. Obv lots of reasons for the loss, but any sports psychologist will tell you that things like this matter - even as a fan watching in the ground it felt weird and was much harder to recognise players (no idea why, but really did seem to make a difference even as a spectator).
  24. On a separate note - 150 year anniversary and we don't have anything that resembles the founders shirts, but we have a violet/lilac debacle Or are Castore planning on a new shirt every month??
