Remember the majority of Norwich fans were pissed off that he was allowed to go. Was seen as one off their best prospects coming through for a while. One thing Murty did get right was bringing this lad in. The young lad will play a lot of first team football this season. Should be tying him down on a new improved contract imo.

I chose second and I'm old enough to remember who we really are. That's not pessimism it's realism. Until the club from chairman to players match the heart and passion we as fans do we may get somewhere! But heart and passion will probably not be enough as we need more ability across the majority of the first team squad. We need further investment as well. If we can get all this right we may have a team capable off toppling them.

Comfortable second. If we can improve goals to chances ratio with a decent striker and some more creativity I honestly don't think we'll be far off those overhyped world beaters. Need to get the high press style working. If and it's a big we can do that we will see how vunerable and bang average they are at the back.

I still think we'll adopt this formation or varients of 3 at the back if we manage to recruit the right players. I may be wrong but I don't think Gerrard sees Tav as our right back and is only there due to limited numbers to play 3 at the back.

Can only improve with guidance from a top midfielder in Gerrard. Has a great attitude and I'm sure Gerrard will be able to develop his game further. To say he is possibly not good enough at this stage in his development is wide of the mark imo.

Don't want to get carried away with this lad but I expect him to push for a starting place in the team. I know he has only had minimal game time but sometimes you can just see he has something about him. Confident in his ability and determind to make a diference. A great attitude to have. Windass especially and Murphy will be looking over their shoulder and have to up their game.

Still feel Gerrard is playing the best of what he has available to him. I doubt very much the team or formation that started tonight will be the same against the sheep. At a guess I would say 3 5 2 if further targets are secured.

No need to be spunking money on Barker or Jones when we have a young lad like Middleton. Can understand why some Norwich fans were unhappy he was let go. Will definately feature more this season with Gerrards high press game and speed on the wings.
