I don't think he is in the running. If he was then I think the sheep woudl have come out publicly and either said he had been approached and they had nknocked it back or that they had given permission to speak to him.
I think if an appointment is imminent it will be Warburton, McCall or AN Other manager currently without a club

Well as a minimum they coudl still have put him on Garden leave until an agreement was reached. A caretaker (Durie, kenny Miller, etc) could have been appointed form the existing staff so no further cost incurred.
Instead we have a manager who wants to go leading a team who are already directionless and on zero confidence. It will destroy anythign that is left in the playing squad.

I'm uncertain on bringing BOyd back - I would ratehr have him than Miller and having both pretty much means Clark, Gallacher, etc won't get a look in behind Boyd, Miller and Daly.
That said, we know what we'd be getting with Boyd.
However, let's say we have decisded against signing him and he sings for the sheep.

I've seen more than a few people describe our manager as such over the last year or so, seen it a few times again today after yet another win. Do people not realise how ridiculous that is? Look at what McCoist has achieved in the game as a player AND as a coach/assistant manager before coming out with such overly emotive, classless nonsense.

A bad day at the office but 3 points nonetheless.
We have played much better recently and it's disappointing to see us take a step back, but that happens sometimes.
The main thing is the result and we got there in the end....time to get blitzed and enjoy the new year now bears rather than depressing ourselves here

To be honest as much as he seemed a decent prospect I'd far rather see us sign someoone with proven pedigree at least at SPL and international level.
Goodwillie is, in my view, the ideal partner to Jelavic with Lafferty also hopefully chucking his hat in the ring to win a starting place next year up top
