Re D'artagnan, even when he is subjected to nonsense from the handwringers he is still polite and forthcoming. He was viewed very positively in the early days by most including me.
There seems to have been a watershed moment when he moved firmly into the RST/FF/Dingwall camp and became little more than a mouthpiece for them. That's when he lost the respect of his detractors.

When I first heard of Chris Graham I had no idea how he became "known" or who he represented (just himself as it transpired).
I read some of his posts some time back and he came across well. Unfortunately, in my opinion, his ego has now become rather inflated. He also appears to have become a bit of a lap dog for FF and MD. Perhaps it's a two-way thing.
Whilst I don't disagree with everything he says, I do disagree with quite a lot. He has also, again in my opinion, become rather childish in some of his posts and has let himself down. It appears to be a "bloggers" disease where self-importance takes precedence over content and by far exceeds ability and actual importance. Chris Graham isn't alone in having this affliction.

How about this Christopher. The financial carrots to SFL1 clubs to jump ship for an SPL2 only held water if Rangers were to join an SPL2 set up also. There are no 2 ways about it, Div 1 clubs can threaten all they like but they could have done nothing without us. The morally and fiscally insolvent SPL needed the SFL for our inclusion in TV games, hence the need to "reconstruct" or in laymans terns takeover.
If our mute Chairman or any other spokesperson spoke out and stated clearly that we would not join any SPL2 nor indeed SPL1 then smaller SFL clubs that welcomed us with open arms would not have been bullied into accepting the takeover. Instead, "Real Rangers Men" are "humble" to accept full membership and be able to play trialists in the first 4 games. McCoist will have lost his ready made excuse of losing the first 4 games, but heyho. Our silence ensured clubs were bullied into accepting this farce, if Charles Green and his team (who actually stood up to the plate when it mattered and saved us) were not forced out by "Real Rangers Men" who put nothing into the club then we would have stood alongside the SFL clubs with Longmuir and Ballentyne. Once Green was forced out, so too was our integrity in standing alongside our friends. Dignified silence on the Gravy Train ride, but heyho the big bad businessmen are away so all is well. Our club doesn't need Gravytrain passengers with jobs for the boys, it will see us enter Administration #2. We need businessmen that realise for them to make money we need to be successful and protect the brand by fighting our detractors, not getting into bed so we can be their bitches for the forseeable.

It's all irrelevant as there is no way Pelé, Clodoaldo, Gérson, Jairzinho, Rivelino, and Tostão could hack it in SFL 3.
If pushed, I would have Pelé sitting further back pinging those 60-yarders onto big John Daly's heid as the great Brazilian is always able to get it up when needed.

I really can't believe this thread is still going....there are some who don't believe ally has the attributes or has done enough to justify the time or hope he will be a success and likewise there are others who want to give ally the chance and believe he will get it right.....in amongst that there are extremists on both sides who can't discuss the facts sensibly without questioning fans loyalty or making personal comments about ally....it is pointless and we are going round in circles.
Fact is I don't believe ally will be a success due to his approach regardless of any other factors however he will 100% be our manager next year so these constant threads are de functionary.
I think if things haven't improved by Christmas then it will be alot harder to argue the case for him because we really need to use this hiatus from the top flight to build long term and if ally's not the right man that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later! Hopefully (and that's all I'm going with at the moment) ally will get it right!
