  1. I am not happy with Beale, his tactics his team selections or most of his signings. However I doubt he is going anywhere yet because firstly we probably can't afford to sack him. Secondly who do we replace him with at this stage of the season, most of the good managers are already contracted to clubs plus the money needed to lure one away from a contract is probably more than our board would be prepared to spend. Then we have the players Beale has brought in apart from Butland, Cantwell, Raskin and Lawrence none of them are good enough on their showings this season. So who is to blame for the signings, were they all down to Beale or were they scouted or recommended to him by outside sources because the blame lies with someone. Plus if you buy these players as " your team " why are you not playing them. If they were supposed to be a step up from what we had why were they not played against PSV or celtic. If he felt they were not good enough or not ready, why did we buy them? From the start of this season we needed a team that was ready to go, to play Champions league qualifiers and we knew we were going to be playing celtic four games into the season and that would possibly make of break our season, yet we lost to Killie and now them. So it all boils down to Beale, his team, his tactics.
  2. I doubt very much the board will sack him yet. After all they brought him in as our saviour and they backed him financially to bring in players he said we needed to bring us titles and Champions League improvement. To sack him now would be to admit they got it all horribly wrong and they won't admit that yet.
  3. PSV have a different team as well as us and theirs performed better on the night. I agree our new players don't seem to be any better than the ones we have sold but hey its all what happens on the pitch on the night and we didn't perform as well as they did. Whether that is a reflection on the new players or Beale or just how things unfolded or a combination of all, I don't know for certain. But there is no point in looking back our priority is now Sunday then the Europa league and every game each week. Give the new players time to gel and get used to each other and Beales philosophy and if neither work then we can talk about replacements.
  4. I think what I said is pretty self explanatory. We were beaten on the night by a team with far more financial clout than us and played better, simple. Sunday is a different game, they have a new manager a different style of football, new players as have we. These games are never easy both teams are up for it. Yes we beat them last season but that was last season and if you think that gives us an advantage that's your opinion, I don't. I think we will beat them by a couple of goals but anyone who thinks it will be a walk in the park is delusional.
  5. Simply outclassed by a team with far more financial clout than us. More money equals better quality players and a better manager, we were in the game for about 30 minutes the rest of the time we were chasing shadows. We will need to improve greatly for Sunday because you can guarantee they will be up for this game and if Beales boys can't beat celtic at this stage of the competition we can kiss this season goodbye.
  6. I have followed Rangers for 60 years and have watched numerous brilliant players over the years. But when it was announced that JD was signing for us I was every bit as excited as I was when Gazza signed. Special players.
  7. Same turgid football, we have a practically a new team yet we play the same style back passes, side passes then lump a long ball forward hoping someone will get on the end of it. All the excuses don't cut it, first game of the season, plastic pitch, 10 man defence, we knew that's how they would play yet we persist in the same tactics. We needed someone to take them on, run at their defenders. If we play like that in midweek we will be out of the Champions League before we start.
  8. Its a team formation that works very well. Oh wise one.
  9. Using players that we already have or are very close to signing. Butland Souttar Goldson Yilmaz Raskin Tavernier Cantwell Dowell Sima Lammers Dessers This setup gives us the flexibility in the middle of the park where Raskin can either drop back into defence or come forward in attack to give us more attacking possibilities. I've pushed Tav forward into midfield because he spends most of his time there anyway.
  10. Know very little about any of the signings apart from the odd You Tube clip. I trust that Beale and his staff either know them or have had them watched so they know all about them, strengths and weaknesses.
  11. No problems with him staying, him and Yilmaz competing for the position. He is the best crosser of a ball into the box we have and yes he has been hot and cold for the last season but how n=much of that is from carrying an injury.
  12. Welcome to the Famous Jack. Hope you will love your time here with plenty of trophies.
  13. The reason they are slagging him off is because he scares them. They thought he was going to be just another pretty boy but he has stuck it to them in no uncertain fashion. Love his 100% commitment to the game not scared to do the dirty stuff coupled with skill.
  14. Great artist fabulous career, Simply the Best Tina. Will always be remembered . RIP lovely lady.
  15. Love Cantwells aggression. A midfield of him Raskin and Lawrence next season would be nice.
  16. Happy with McCrorie as number one, he has done his time out on loan and deserves a chance. He hasn't put a foot wrong in the last three matches and the wages we would pay him against what is being bandied around for Butland could be better spent on a couple of new strikers.
  17. Desire to play at the highest level is what drives players on. If he wants to play in the EPL he is first got to be a stand out for us to get their attention which can only be good for us.
  18. You are right Defoe wouldn't have missed that open goal. The goal he scored in the last legends game was an example of what a striker should be and do. Even at his age he would score more goals than the present group of supposed strikers we are paying good money to.
  19. Sakala is rubbish, why we signed him I'll never know. I'm 75 yrs old and I could have put that one in the back of the net. Absolutely criminal to miss that.
  20. The question is, if we are lucky enough to unload him, who do we replace him with?
  21. Looks like the boy can hit a good ball from the edge of the box. Trouble is in the SPFL most clubs playing against us have 10 men in the 6 yard box sort of limits the angles but he looks good.
  22. So they're not there to support Scotland as a team, only those players who play for a team they support/like but not Scotland. I think they need to have a good look at themselves.
  23. We don't have the money to shop in the EPL or the championship, the only ones on the free lists are those with injury problems or are not good enough. We need to cast our net a lot further afield, Asia, Australia, Canada and the USA all have good players. Young players who have talent we have in the past had Tony Vidmar and Craig Moore two great players for us. They took time to bed in but turned out really good. There are others in these markets that we could pick up for pocket money if we just looked.
  24. Need to get rid of both. Morelos is lazy and way out of form and Kent turns up when he feels like it.
  25. Wilson has to shoulder most of the blame for our current predicament followed very closely by a serious lack of investors. Yes some of the board invested some of their own money to prop us up but they don't seem to be chasing serious investors that don't mind putting a few million in for the long haul. The board seem to be very happy being known around town as members of the Rangers board, opens a few doors to more opportunities to make more money for yourself. Yes they have made some much needed improvements to Ibrox and built EH which will be another income stream but mainly coming from cash strapped fans. We need serious investment from wherever as long as it doesn't have any crazy strings attached.
