They won't sack him. But there will be a parting of company.
He could've said nothing and kept his mouth shut and went in tomorrow and worked hard.
Intead, true to form he acted like the gobby, attention seeking, little scouse that cunt he is.

Your missing my point and I do have sympathy with Barton's points of view.  It doesn't matter if he was right or wrong or if he should or should not apologise.  I've not made any comment about that and all I've made is an observation about why I wouldn't be surprised if we part ways with him - like I said this is purely hypothetical as it could be smoothed over and there is nothing more to it.
My interpretation is just that he's been sent home by his boss for the best part of the week and anyone in that situation typically has to play a bit of a game ,whether they like it or not, to smooth things over and to keep their head down - for example Barton's first tweet with the apology would be exactly how most people handle it (like it or not).
My concern is its not normal for someone in that position to then go on radio and say things like “You’re only as good as your team mates, so if I am to improve they have to improve." or publicly say that he doesn't agree with how the manager handled it and that there is nothing to apologies for. i' fully expect him to be forthright and make these points to MW on Monday but making them in public without the clubs approval is not the best tactical move in these situations.

OK so you've been suspended from work on Tuesday and told to report to the manager the following  Monday. The reason you were suspended is you argued with colleague and when the boss took you aside to have a word you continued your conduct but with the boss.
He gives you a chance to go home, calm down and clear your head. Come back Monday and we can talk this over.
You instead call into a national broadcoaster and question the boss on live radio.
    How does this end?
How anyone can think he's not undermined the manager is beyond me

This isn't a complicated issue despite your apparent determination to muddy the waters. He's publicly undermined his manager. If he isn't dealt with the manager will lose his authority. It doesn't matter what he said or even of he is right because regardless he should never in a million years be calling up a talk show whilst suspended to question his suspension.

Sending someone home to reflect surely doesn't mean them having a wee think then starting spouting on Twitter and TalkSport tho.

I think Warburton thought he was adding steel and experience. A few forceful personalities to carry our young team confidently into difficult venues.
Sadly we have slowed our play with players whose legs can't cover the ground our system demands, inhibited our young players who are cowing to Barton (until now) and introduced a loose cannon where calm leadership (ala Davie Weir) was required.

Common sense should tell a 34 year old that you don't call up a national radio station to say your situation has been handled strangely, you've nothing to apologise for to the manager when clearly the manager disagrees.  He's undermined his boss. In any walk of life that doesn't end well.

A pro would take his medicine, shut his trap and come back determined to make amends or at very least to prove everyone wrong.

    Fair enough assumptions mate.
I was just being a dick because all this speculation is doing my head in.
I think there is a lot more to it than meets the eye but we will probably never know the whole story.
I just wish we could get back to playing some decent football to take our mind off the off field circus.
    Hopefully that starts tomorrow.

We know the guy is brain dead anyway but in this case I don't know if he was just being stupid giving that interview or he's just looking for a way out, either way he's given Warburton the option. Fucking take it, Mark.

Don't see him playing for us again tbh.
There's no manager at any company in the world, nevermind a football club, who would be fine with an employee going public with their displeasure at an internal disciplinary issue.
If he truly wanted to move on from all of this, he'd have kept his fucking mouth shut and turned up on Monday and popped a bollock in training. Instead, he's fucked it.

JB must be working his ticket. Has to be. The initial spat on training ground is one thing. To do the media things and drop the manager in it is soemthing else.
Just hope we can rip up his contract.

Fucking gobsmacked by how many are taking JB statement at face value. You don't get dropped, sent home and told that your manager is backing others before you for "harsh words".  Harsh words? Fuck me have you heard the language in a changing room on a good day?! And even if you did get sent home for that it would be a culmination of a number of things.
Managers, in any walk of life, don't snap for one off incidents.....it's always a series of things.
A sponsor I know says that if you remember all the rules that the players put in place for themselves last year? JB has, allegedly, been breaking a lot of them in terms of disrespecting others, acting billy big baws, disrupting analysis sessions and esp given that his performances have been shite, that basically, nobody likes him. In short, he's really fucking disruptive and with MW sticking by him in the team, that this is getting more of an issue with rest of the team.
All of which is why I concluded that MW has made a huge statement here by sending him home. Privately. He's giving him a chance to come back cap in hand but is also showing his squad that he backs them and that JB is not bigger than them, him or the club.

It depends on whether he has just ripped into his teammates or if he has slated himself too. If he thinks he's been great but everyone else has been shite (lets face it we've all played 5s with folk like that who do nothing but then moan about others) then I think Warburton is right to make an example of him and send him home. If he has said everyone including himself need to buck up their ideas because they are fucking garbage then I don't think sending him home is right. Halliday shouldn't have taken offence unless he thinks losing to Celtic is fine let alone losing 5-1.
See Numans interview today about Ian Ferguson and his reaction to the 5-1 loss. Fergie knows what it means when we play them and I'd have expected Halliday to have been the one ripping into the team after that shambles. So if `Barton is going to do that then it's not like he's hooked someone in training for a rough tackle. However, if Barton showed the same passion on the pitch as he is alleged to have shown here then we might not be slating his performances.

It shows a lack of respect and control.  Maybe he should take his suspension like a grown up instead of feeling the need to put it out in public. Smarts of a kid getting into trouble and looking for anyone to give him some sympathy. Barton needs to get over it, work hard and contribute to a winning Rangers. If that's too difficult then find another club.

Ok look at it this way, if a player has a virus he's asked to stay away from the rest of the players until such time the illness is cleared.....in this case joey is the virus and he's spreading through the team, a cancer in the team will kill us eventually!!!
I back Warburton 100% on this and I'm sure Warburton doesn't just send folk home for the sake of it, lets be realistic and actually open our eyes to the fact that he must've been totally out of order or he would still be training.

Training ground bust ups are a daily occurrence. Language, on a good day, is industrial at best.
JBs version would not result in him being sent home. Not a fucking chance. MW has clearly taken a stance in sending him home, dropping him and backing the others that tells JB he is not bigger or better than the group and who he is siding with. Remember that MW did this with no press release and held a media conference where he didn't release it. He was dealing with it privately. JBs response via Twitter will make MW even more angry as it further disrespects him, the club and the players. IMO JBs tweet is an opening gambit to get out with his reputation intact.
