Based on that performance it’s gonna be another long, frustrating season again.
Defenders still can’t defend cross balls. How many seasons is that now? Shall we chalk up another one then? Getting tedious. Wish the board and management would get their heads out their arses and actually sign some quality defenders.

Absolutely soul destroying to see so many in this thread stating he’s our best defender.
A guy who who hasn’t been able to defend cross balls for seasons now and is typically about 20 miles away from the biggest goal threats in our box.
He cost us the Europa League final because of his abysmal defending ffs.
Seems like a nice guy, but compared to some of the defenders we’ve had at the club over the years, Goldson isn’t even fit to lace their boots.

Not of the quality that will raise us to the next level. We all want players who can compete at Champions League level…Goldson isn’t that guy.

Schooled tonight. Lack of fight was infuriating. Thought their words about us over the past week would’ve fired the players up, but clearly not.
We’re a millions miles off being a Champions League team and will be for years to come I reckon. Painful to admit, but just being a realist.

Few of our players look out their depth here. Matondo and Cifuentes mainly.
Had a few positive pieces of play going forward, but frittered out to nothing so far. Trying to remain positive. Need to take any chances that come our way as so far we’ve been poor when we’ve had a chance to go forward. -
Is this on RangersTV tonight for those outside UK, or only on TNT Sports? Anyone know?

First away ticket of the season for me. Got St. Johnstone away twice last season (once in league and once in cup). Would’ve preferred a change of scenery… 😳

If we had another 10 Todd Cantwells then we’d be trying to win the champions league, never mind being happy to simply qualify for it.
This guy ticks all the boxes. Decent footballer, Mr Motivator, swagger and attitude in his style of play, etc. Enjoying him while he’s here, as it may not be for long if he keeps playing the way he is.

Really looking forward to this one tonight. The calibre of opposition that our players should want to test themselves against. Got a feeling that our players will all step up tonight, play out their skins and get us the win. Important that us supporters do our bit from the stands and get behind the team.

Took his goal really well today. Showed nice composure and didn’t bottle it. Complete contrast to his tap-in miss against Servette.

Agree with dreadful style of play. Seems like his footballing philosophy is to bore the fans to death.
His recruitment hangs in the balance for me so far. Think some signings are already good or will come good (Cantwell, Raskin, Butland, Cifuentes, Danilo to name some), and some will be unsuccessful (Lammers, Dessers, Sterling).

Contributed more than Lammers today, but still woeful. His attempts on goal were embarassing. If people think Hagi is the answer to our attacking woes then I think they need their head checked. Not Rangers class and would sell him if a club came in with a fair bid (say £2-4million)

Trying to think positively.
Raskin didn’t deserve to be on the losing side today. The only player on our side that looked interested in actually trying to create something. He got MOTM on RangersTV, so looks like my judgement of the game was pretty good. Looking forward to watching him over the course of the season.
