I remember his goal for us in 1993, was a belter.
-
He’s played about 360 minutes (4 games) and scored 3 goals. A good number of those minutes were playing out on the left… I have no doubt he will score many more when played centrally more consistently
-
The thing about this is, we hold all the cards for once… he has a 4 year contract. So if we decide to sell it’s for a high value. The only way that may change is if the player starts playing funny buggers. Which I’m certain Butland won’t. As he doesn’t seem to be of that character and to my knowledge hasn’t done it before.
I’m also not convinced there is any truth to this anyway

Didn’t think Tavernier played that well today. Thought his passing was particularly poor and caught out ball watching, especially at Goldsons booking…. Tremendous strike for our 3rd goal. If you look back a couple of seasons ago, the difference in him is remarkable. 2 seasons ago he was quick, energetic and slim build.
Compared to now where he is a lot more lethargic and with a heavier build.
I think this should be his final year with us. Been a good player for us over his time here, but I think it’s time to move him on.

Whoever takes this job must utilise the young talent we have…
King, Rice, Lovelace, McCausland should play a part this season. All 4 are talented boys and their energy and enthusiasm are a breath of fresh air to us… McCauslands post match interview was class…. It’s means so much to him playing for our club… The fans will back these boys massively as they are all living our dreams…
So give it your all boys, we are right behind you

Not from me - genuinely think it’s contributed to both failing though, as obvious as that is to say.
If Lawrence in particular doesn’t get injured last year I think we’d have been much better domestically. We were never going to be good enough for the CL irrespective of whether we had a full squad.
Cantwell, Raskin, Danilo, Lawrence all being out at the same time was huge for Beale, particularly when combined with Lammers and Dessers being so shit which was his own fault.
I’m not convinced by this…. He came in last November and I can only remember 2 or 3 decent performances. And a number of games we scraped by in.
Since the start of the season it’s been a joke. With no real way of playing, apart from badly. Switching formations way too often, which doesn’t help players get any rhythm in their game. Cantwell looks a shadow of the player he was when he signed. Raskin also. Cifuentes has looked totally lost in games where it’s looked like he doesn’t have a clue on what he is doing…Today I thought Cifuentes had his best game for us and Raskin looked much better than at any point this season. Coincidence? Time will tell

Would like to continue using some of our younger players, the enthusiasm they have is brilliant to see. Having McCausland, Lovelace, Rice and King in the squad and getter minutes is a must moving forward. Would much rather see those boys rather than Dessers, Lammers and Wright. Wish we had just promoted these boys and spent the £9m on someone to replace Lundstram.

Good result, a number of aspects of our overall play need fixed. Hopefully the new manager can see what they are and fix them quickly. Otherwise he/she won’t last long in the job.
-
To be honest we’ve dropped the easiest players to drop. I would have added one more from Tav or Lundstram.

Souttar centre midfield and Lammers upfront. That’s enough internet for me today.
Have ever watched Lammers play upfront… he’s absolutely class up top

I’d go….
Butland
Sterling Goldson Davies Yilmas
Souttar
Raskin Rice
Cifuentes
Sima Lammers

How much is the discovery+ channel?

Hopefully Wright is playing on the wing, feel our last manager fucked him over by playing him in the centre. For some reason (no idea what) I think Dessers will do well tonight.

Who would your pick be for the next manager?

This alongside your monstrosity of a suggested line up in the Aris thread as me seriously questioning your sanity.
😃 That team is a belter…. Very Walter Smith when the backs are against the wall and an injury hit squad. It would be solid defensively and Tav would probably get a couple of goals….
What would your team be?

Based on that one trophy he's won?
No, mainly based on his experience in the Scottish league. Knowing exactly what to expect being manager of Rangers and also moving us away from this nonsense that we are a possession based team…..
-
Butland
Sterling Goldson Davies Barisic
Lundstram Souttar Cifuentes
Tavernier Lammers Sima

I actually think Mcinnes might be our best bet for success. I really can’t be arsed with another so called tactical genius. We’ve been down the road of project managers and us being a stepping stone for bigger things.
Think I’d prefer an up and at em approach. Getting the ball in the mixer so to speak, instead of tippy tappy side to side pish.

Put it this way, if it's the Scottish route he's the only one that would fit for me, out the game a while but got good experience down south, don't think we'll go down the Scottish route but worth a mention at least.
If it’s Scottish then Mcinnes is the one for me. I think he’s moving towards the top of my list.
