this is what you get when the so-called manager can't hold his water. McDowell should never have disclosed what was said in the Boardroom - the potential benefit of bringing 5 new players in to revitalise the squad is now f**cked we are such a shambles, it is completely shameful

McDowell should not have put this information into the public domain whatever he thought of it. Can no one at Ibrox keep their gob shut, do we have to air all our dirty washing in the press?? It stands to reason these 5 guys are here to play. When I read this story this morning I thought "there's McDowell getting his excuse for dropping people from the team - the Board is making me do it" He could of course have kept whatever was said to him in the Boardroom to himself and made sure the 5 new guys get properly integrated into the squad. Now he has created a "them and us" situation amongst the players which avoids the issue that a number of our side have not performed this season and we need urgent action to resurrect our season. I'm glad he's already resigned, he's not a leader and he's not fit to manage Rangers.

the only ray of light I can see in Ashley's continued interest is that the merchandise model only works for him if a) all the damage done between the Board and fans is repaired b) we start to see results on the field and c) large numbers of people want to spend their hard-earned on the merchandise - if he doesn't achieve that he's just throwing good money after bad

Only a month ago Gattuso was telling the press he wanted to manage Rangers after McCoist (admittedly when he said this he didn't know how quickly McCoist would get his hedge clippers) - but now he is applying for the Hamilton job? I suppose this is another indication of the mess in the board room - how can we make a new managerial appointment with all this infighting going on?

don't know, I thought Sarver offered a way forward but not with these jokers on the Board. I suppose we need all Rangers supporters to ask themselves what's more important right now?
