This 100%. With the way some people are reacting it's as if he is going to be joint manager.
Due to the role he would be filling, it's low risk. Unfortunately some fans just don't like him (something I find impossible to relate to) and that's the way they will always see it.

He will be part of the team but he has several people ahead of him in terms of position so it's not like he's going to be in charge of anything vital.
If Barry came in and worst case scenario he acted up he'd be punted arse first out the door.
If he values a future in coaching and in football he will come in and do the job asked of him and not much else.

Some cunts need to have a look at themselves over this.  Barry Ferguson is a Rangers legend and a good Rangers captain.  Do I want him to have this role, no because of the way him and others acted we PLG was the manager.  But the abuse he receives is bang out of order, even with the PLG situation in mind if it wasn't for him/others we wouldn't have had our greatest modern time manager back in the hot seat and won three titles in a row and a European final to boot.
i seen someone even call him a ned, you can fuck off aswell.
As for the Scotland situation, fuck Scotland, it has fuck all to do with Rangers.
not my choice for this position but one you can guarantee with BF is he will not be afraid to kick balls in that dressing room and I think we have a manager this will not be afraid to kick Fergusons baws if need be aswell.  Something PLG would never have done.

McInnes might not be the big name some fans want but he is 100% no way a poor manager. You've got to remember the sheep have had the 3rd biggest budget for quite some time so there are obviously other factors that prevented the dozen or so managers before McInnes fail in getting them to the position he has managed to. His win ratio with them is around 57%. He's reached 3 finals winning 1. As for the tims how close were you really expecting him to get to them? I'm making a rough guess here but up until last season they would probably have had a budget 1/7th of celtic. This season more likely a 1/10th. Yet they have pushed them a couple of times into at least Feb/March. Over a season a far superior budget will nearly always prevail towards the end. And to agree with a previous post, he had a good football brain as a player and you can see that when he manages.
We don't need an expensive/foreign/unknown who will try and implement a system in Scotland that may not work. We need someone Scottish who knows the game in this country and knows how to manage and win.

Some good points but I don't think you can write off what he's achieved because the previous dozen or so sheep managers were apprently crap managers. He should be credited for doing what every one of them failed to do. Their budget is a bit higher than Hibs Hearts etc but you've still got to achieve that and for whatever reason a lot of managers couldn't do that at the same club. His win ratio is about 56% or 57%. No matter what other factors there are, that is high for a club of their size.
Also I don't think we can afford to worry about how stylish our football is so as for how they play I don't care. Results are paramount. We want someone who knows football in Scotland. That's why I think McInnes is our best bet just now taking all things into account.

Totally disagree mate. He's got a better record against them than any of their managers as far back as I can remember. The sheep were always getting well beat off them and raising their game for us. That's not a McInnes thing, that's a historical thing. He's established them again as a top 4 team, won them a trophy and got to other finals. I can understand some people having reasons they don't want him but he is definitely not an awful manager.

There are no managers that tick all the boxes but McInnes ticks most. DeBoer is another massive risk our club cannot afford to take just now, that's assuming he would come to us. For me, best option for us is McInnes: Scottish manager; managed in Scotland; successful as a manager; can get best out of players; can work on limited funds and be a success; won't take silly money contract to get him.

Some may disagree with me here. I am very much a supporter of Warburton from a footballing perspective and he still has my full backing. We can guess all we want as to who done what on the day in question but we still clearly don't know the facts. Barton has previous but until you know exactly what happened you can't assume. So for me, at present, the only person who merits criticism in all of this is our manager who made the decision to sign him.

I agree with that although it's worth mentioning that managers are not technically sacked. Thats why they almost always get a pay off. It's to come to an agreement over the remainder of their contract.

Our best performance of the season is a 0-0 draw at home to Ross County.
Our problems run much deeper than Joey Barton.

I'm going to be honest here. Barton has been far from been the worst player in our side this season. He's not been great but folk saying he's shite and so on is over the top. You don't go from being the best player in the championship to being not good enough for Scottish football in a 2 month period. The whole team has not been good enough. If it doesn't work out for him at us it will not be because of his ability. It might be because of his attitude or it might be because of this incident but I wouldn't question his ability. In my opinion, I think he feels let down by other players and I wouldn't be surprised if words have been exchanged to that effect.

Tavernier has been our best player this season by a long way and has defended well most of the time. Resting or dropping him would be madness.
