Fascination with Thomson is weird. 

The experienced head to guide the rookie boss in his first role? Not sure that suits given Thomson has only managed a part-time team for a season.

Beale isn't going to hire Thomson as his number two ffs.

The idea of a Beale & Kevin Thomson pairing, which seems to be being heavily mooted, does nothing for me at all.

Shades of last year with Gio being on a "3/4 man shortlist" before being announced as the new manager a couple days later with nothing more about the other candidates.

Really can't be fucked with this if we appoint Beale. He has done nothing in management, started off well and is clearly struggling now so not as if he is absolutely flying in his first role. His tactics saw us struggle a lot against domestic teams who sat deep, exactly what we are seeing this season, nothing will change. He isn't a figurehead, he won't revitalise the club. Ok that can be counteracted with:
He’s  only been a manager for 3 months and hardly setting the world alight
Will probably be a yes man to Ross Wilson/the board
QPRs form has fallen off a cliff since he turned down the approach from Wolves 
If he comes, it shows his commitment speech that he just made to QPR was a load of shite - can’t be trusted 
Need to really steer clear of this appointment 

I’d be disappointed with Beale, he’s likeable but if he was the brains behind Gerrard then he’s as culpable for not winning the treble in the 55 season, the 1 trophy in 12 record and when the wheels were falling off before Covid and before Gerrard left. 
He’d be a cheaper weekly wage option and would suggest the board want to make the best of the group of players we have than support a new boss with new players,  However, we’ll end up paying comp to QPR that could be used to get a better manager currently unattached, which comes back to, will our board fund any new manager!?  Highly doubtful but badly needed.

I don’t want Beale as our next manager. Fuckin unproven and a risk. 

I wanted Beale about 6 weeks ago. But I now admit that I was being a bit rash.
The slump at QPR shows he is not ready for our job yet 
I now hope it’s someone with a bit more experience

The sad thing is, there would be a sizeable part of our support over the moon with Beale.
