You do realise left back is the only position doing anything eh?
Going forward yes, but shocking again defensively.

Aribo instead of Arfield
I’m fed up with Aribo tbh. He’s one that I wouldn’t mind selling this summer if we received a good offer. I know he scored the goal on Wednesday but I just find his overall lack of intensity very frustrating.

Lundstram as our central CB in a back 3 is almost as mental as playing Borna in the midfield.
Seen worse lineups tbf. Starting 11s including players who are injured/ banned and sometimes only a starting 10. And that's seasoned posters!
Btw, you bothered with the Europa yet mate?
Lundstram has played in the back 3 a number of times now, including on Thursday.
And I don’t think he has Barasic in midfield. It’s a 3-4-3 with Tav and Barasic as the wing-backs. The layout just makes it look a bit funny.

From Sky Sports:
▪️Rangers will hold further talks with their preferred candidate today.
▪️Giovanni van Bronckhorst is one of three Ross Wilson is considering.
▪️Rangers are understood to be very impressed with their shortlist and not rushing the move.Do we think there are genuinely three candidates? Knutsen and Lampard were shot down so if there are other contenders and they’ve been able to keep the names secret they’re playing it pretty close to the chest.

Farke isn't a Rangers manager.
Why?

He’s one of these managers that is all about the performance instead of the result.
Possibly but he does have experience of winning titles. He didn’t do well when they got in the PL but he managed to win the Championship twice.

So you think even the top journalists in England at the top publications don’t have any sources?

I understand that Pep Guardiola is interested in being the next Rangers manager if Steven Gerrard moves to Aston Villa.
There. You read that online too. My sources are impeccable!
You’re not a journalist with any credibility though.

Why? What are you expecting? These kinds of articles never quote someone or reveal their sources. Those are three of the top journalists in England and they’ll have spoken to someone on either Villa’s or Gerrard’s side. ‘Telegraph Sport understands’ just means this is what my source told me.

I don’t think he looks ready to step into any meaningful matches atm. He could do with a run of games in the league against the easier opposition to settle and learn the system. Unfortunately, we don’t have many of them coming up. I would definitely be looking to give him a start in the cup next week though.

There’s always going to be nerves in here if we let them play out and aren’t penning them in, but i think that’s an okay half. A bit shaky for a few minutes after the Edouard chance, but on the whole we’ve allowed them possession in areas we want them in and been the more dangerous side.
I dont know where people get the idea that we’re a high pressing team at this point in the Gerrard era. We haven’t been since Arfields legs went and Jacks entire body went.
Only worry for me is their manager will be demanding more from them, whereas we might just be happy with how the game has played out so far.
We are badly missing the physicality that Jack or Arfield at his best bring.

It’s become a bit of a cliche to say ‘we’ll learn from this’ etc., but Gerrard has been criticised in the past for not getting his subs on early enough but he didn’t waste time in getting the creative players on today and it paid off. Credit to him.

Hasn’t looked out of place in the past few games but I’d be tempted to put Halliday back in. In this new formation, particularly with the forwards playing inside, the fact Flanagan is right-footed really limits us and gives us no width or option going forward on the left.

Anyone have the line up.
Sounds like the more senior players fucked it up and the young players pulled them out a hole.
According to Heart & Hand pod it was:
Fod, Polster, McAuley, Worrall, Barisic, Coulibaly, Halliday, Dorrans, Grezda, Lafferty and Morelos.

When are the players going to show some accountability? Where is their desire to go and kill that game off?
It's an absolute disgrace the fact some of them are so casually walking and passing it about in the second half.
There was a chance before Hibs scored their goal when we were on the break and Morelos just started walking with the ball at the half-way. He then played a decent ball to Candeias who slows it right down and thinks he has all the time in the world. It's just so frustrating to watch. Teams that win leagues go and kill that game off in the first half.
You'll never get an easier game at Easter Road. They were shocking and we gave them a point.
