Seems a ridiculous transfer, but it does make sense as a loan. Welbeck and Hernandez are presumably away and Van Persie needs a surgery. Send RvP off for a couple months for surgery, replace him with a world class forward on loan and let them compete when he's back. That's how the premier league works. With van persie at 32 at end of season Falcao could be the permanent replacement for him eventually as well. still think they should be throwing everything they have at Vidal though.

Wallace and MacLeod for the off ?
KingInTheNorth replied to cumnockbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I'm calling pure shite on this. This £4m share issue isn't the doomsday scenario some are making out, not getting promoted this year would hit us harder - and we probably won't if these two go with no replacement. -
Naismith the man with a brass neck

Limited technically but very clever. Also a fucking rat. Hope his knees go again. -
Yesterday was a good example of Wallace getting away with murder from the support. He's not the spotless defender some make him out to be. Both goals game from inside left, when mohsni is the left centre back it's risky to have Wallace going forward whenever we have possession, especially against a player like their right winger. Lack of discipline between Jig and Law cost us as well, 19 for them had all the space in the world between out two lines of 4. Unfair to blame just Zal or Mohsni. With the latter we all see his limitations, surely the players must too, which leaves no excuse for leaving him exposed.

There is though... there's thousands. And on the other hand there's probably thousands of Celtic fans voting yes just because they're celtic fans. It's stupid. I completely respect those with both unionist and nationalist views, so long as they can logically support their opinion. It's my opinion though that in 2014 , football and this referendum should be completely detached.
-
Because the referendum is about your future. It's nothing to do with Rangers football club. These traditions you talk of are fan-made. There's no official ties between Rangers and the union. An organisation named after her majesty fucking brought us to our knees ffs. It's a decision each person has to make themselves. There's more than enough logical reasons to vote no , the football club you support should have nothing to do with it. If it does , and is the only factor you consider, you're an utter mong .

I'm not so sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they're at the same financial level , or just below it, they were at when we left them. Champions league football and transfer fees have helped them, but imo they only compensating for gate receipts. Look at how much a lack of ST and gate receipt income has hurt us the last couple of weeks, they've had that for almost 3 years now. Difference is they are somewhat stable. So for us a lack of ST's a GR's means this new share issue, but for them I would say it makes sense that they're gonna need a few seasons of full crowds and old firm games to get themselves into a position to be spending what the fans want to be spent. I actually think he's telling the truth here.

Really interesting to see him come out and announce that this pot of gold their support is clamouring to see reinvested in the squad doesn't actually exist hahahaha

Call me negative & not living by the No Surrender attitude
KingInTheNorth replied to Gaz52's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Can't see us beating Hearts once. We will win the league though. On the day they will beat us one on one but we will be comfortably more consistent. Top by 6-8 points in the end I think. -
Boyd and his lack of 'flick ons'/ team play
KingInTheNorth replied to BigBearButt's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Why don't we just stop lumping the baw up instead ... -
Clark * fs

Just me that thinks he's improved leaps and bounds this season? Been excellent last couple of games. Link up play has been excellent and is forming a good partnership with Boyd. Deserved a goal today... KIU Nicky !

credit where it's due, Ally saw the problems and nailed it at HT. There was no discipline between Law and McCulloch, both going forward and jogging back. Black settled us down and their 19 wasn't anywhere near as dangerous. Nicky Law is actually the invisible man though. He's never in the game. -
does anyone take they wee boys seriously ?

Poll on going tomorrow

1 really don't understand the decision to cancel because of poor football on the last stage of our journey. really doesn't make sense to me. cancelling as a protest against the board is just point blank stupid. -
McCoist only wants to discuss football matters?
KingInTheNorth replied to MaddistonKnight's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I wish there was only football to discuss -
An absolutely fantastic player. 21 in his first 10 or something wasn't it? ridiculous. Good example of the word legend being over-used though. you don't become a rangers legend with just 30 appearances imo

got this today, had no idea I was getting it haha... pretty cool

Clarke's been good last couple of games, so he deserves to keep his place for now. hopefully he keeps improving , but miller's better. B&M for me.

Next signing should be a defensive coach.
KingInTheNorth replied to llgersll's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
While I agree we need a more specialised coaching staff, I don't think this is a priority. Any defensive frailties we have begin with a lack of defensive awareness and energy in midfield , and ends with Bilel Mohsni and Richard Foster. -
Born Under A Union Flag : A Response
KingInTheNorth replied to D'Artagnan's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
The most annoying thing about this referendum is that we don't have a neutral referendum commission to present the facts as they actually are. twisting/manipulation of facts is rife on both sides. -
Boyd - poor start but more to do with overall performance of the team. still got it. gonna score barrel loads, hopefully not just against the lesser teams. Miller- best player vs hibs and hearts, might be a yard slower than his second spell but he still looks really valuable to us. I think he's gonna have a stormer if we can hit our stride as a team. McGregor - I actually like him a lot more than the rest of the forum seemingly. Decent engine on him, solid defensively , better than foster. Solid addition. Zal- looks pretty good. would love a decent, young and quick cb to partner him as he's currently burdened with Mohsni. Probably our best defender bar Wallace.
