Rangers returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership on Sunday after an enthralling 2-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle - and the immediate aftermath felt as though the Gers had never been away.
With little over 60 hours having passed after the final whistle in Thursday's Europa League draw with Villareal, Steven Gerrard's side put in a dogged shift to secure the three points in the capital and it instantly set many of Scottish football's talking heads into meltdown.
Anyone who tuned in to BT Sport yesterday lunchtime would have been forgiven for thinking they had tuned into a weird hybrid of celtic's and Hearts' club TV channels as Michael Stewart raved about the seemingly once-in-a-lifetime performance of the mononymic Christophe at the heart of the Jambos' defence while Rob McLean delivered his commentary with the enthusiasm of a man on his way to his own execution.

That's the campaign started. The slow drip, drip of negativity against the Gerrard regime before the guy has even started. It's a prelude to war from the hacks that started with Waddell the other day. 
we may or may not agree with some of what is in this article, but it is most certainly not done with the intention of spirit of what is best for our club. 
every recent manager we have had, has been subject to scrutiny and maliciousness from the scottish press. They will find a way to try and put extra pressure on Gerrard right from the off. He will be asked in his first press conference about assurances, have they been met,how far the budget goes, have we any money, how is his relationship with king, allen, the rest of the board. Then there will be "dressing room unease" stories (from "sources" none the less) , lies designed to divide support and playing staff. 
That's how it will go, and people should wake up and see that the things the press rip into are the things they are most worried about. We don't know if Gerrard will be a success or not, but we will be behind the man 100%, and so will the club.
Traynor may be an ass amongst many things, and we may not agree on the way that our press releases are worded, but he goes for them, and to quote corporal Jones "they don't like it up em". 
Everything in that piece is puff and opinion. There is no fact at all. "A youth  department that fails consistently". Rubbish. Where have the McCrorie brothers come from? Barry McKay? We haven't had one or two a season, but bear in mind that 4 years ago we didn't have a youth system. Fuckers like Jaxon know this. They are selective in their truth , and we need to be wary.

He doesn't say anything wrong in that interview.  He speaks highly of the club and stating celtic's exposure to the Champions League is responsible for the gap is accurate.  He brought Murty and Windass to Rangers and when asked about those two individuals he praised both.  

To be fair you can't blame Murty for Morelos misses at 2-2 and 2-3 and both his first choice centre backs being injured.

I’d recommend a trip down to Carlisle to anyone thinking about it. The football is terrible but Brunton Park is a classic wee traditional English ground and the terracing is a nice throwback. Plenty of pubs and places for food in and around the town centre too.
Had the privilege of bumping into Clint and he spoke to us for a good 10 minutes with absolutely no rush about him. At the time, he was throwing all sorts of questions at us about Alves so I reckon he thinks he could still be doing a job in our defence!
One thing that sticks is he couldn’t stress how much the players respect Graeme Murty.
