  1. Think he means that although Hibs did miss some chances, we missed our fair share too. So you could say that Hibs could have taken all 3 points, but you could just as easily say that we could've scored another 2 or 3 and won 4-0.
  2. Don't know if anyone's posted this but MW's words after the game: "It would be too easy to say 'three points, thanks very much,' and move on," said Warburton. "I thought we were loose and made some poor decisions. "We didn't take care in the final third. But we will learn from it and be a better team for it." The triumph over their Championship rivals extended Rangers' excellent start to the season - and Warburton's reign - to six matches. "Whether you beat the top of the table or the bottom of the table team it is just three points," added the manager. "And you have to recognise that we fell below the level at certain times today. We have to analyse that and that is the beauty of this squad, they are keen to do that. Describing Tavernier's strike, which arrowed in over Hibs goalkeeper Mark Oxley from wide on the left, as "tremendous", Warburton revealed 18-year-old midfielder Gedion Zelalem , who has joined on loan from Arsenal, will commence training with his new teammates on Monday. "He was watching the game today in the stand," he said. "He will be training with us tomorrow and will be part of the squad. "I am delighted to get hold of him. I would like to welcome him on board. He is another young, very talented player" I get the feeling he knows exactly what he's doing.
  3. One of those songs you can't help but join in on.
  4. Yep you're right, we were sloppy with the ball but like I said, I think hibs tactics disrupted our passing game. Still should be able to play simple passes I suppose. Think Halliday had a pretty poor game and he's been bossing it in the middle in the first few games, so maybe that played a part too. Seemed like there was a lot of long balls too which I was surprised by. It's good to mix it up now and then but we played so many long balls it was mixing it up when we played it short and on the deck (if that makes any sense )Anyway, good to be a little disappointed and still pick up the 3 points and also be top of the table!
  5. Think we were out of sorts but I think that's got a lot with how hibs played the game. They were trying to frustrate us and slow the tempo right down and it worked. They dragged us down to their level. Although we can't expect to be at our brilliant best week in, week out unfortunately so we'll need to grind out results. And as you said, it's good to win even when you're not playing your best. 6 points clear and the future's bright.
  6. I think the rule is that it has to be a competitive match i.e. WC Qualifier or something. If he's only played in friendlies I think he can switch. But I could've just made that up as well
  7. Don't agree that we'll need to defend better in this league tbh. I'd rather be more attacking and take some chances when we can afford to. In this division we can afford to do that.
  8. Think they said today was appearance number 100 in a Rangers jersey and something like the 65 consecutive start. Hard to believe really. Although he played a nice pass for the first goal so at least he did something positive and influential in a game.
  9. Think he's probably been the weakest of the signings we've made TBH. Although that's not saying much. He's still been good and a massive improvement on last years CB's. He has been at fault for a couple of the goals we've conceded but I think he's been getting better and better every week. So hopefully that continues.
  10. There was always a bit of debate with Prso
  11. Think they're bottom or second bottom of League 1 right now so all signs point to that not being the case Either Caldwell's an idiot, or they needed the money. It wasn't exactly a massive fee we paid them though, so I prefer to believe the former
  12. £1M is very conservative based on his performances this season IMO.
  13. How can we sign top European players when we're in the Scottish Championship? Do you think MW would stick with 2 at the back in that situation? He likes to attack, he's not stupid.
  14. I don't think we'll be playing Barca or Arsenal this season
  15. Personally I like a player like that in a team. They are capable of that moment of magic that others aren't. I feel like maybe "developing into a good team without many standouts." needs reworded Anyway, I like him. Like the fact that whenever he got the ball he just took people on without having thinking twice. I think we've lacked that for a few years. Obviously he only played half an our but I liked the look of him.
  16. He's a really classy player. Works hard and has quality on the ball. Seeing him in the flesh, you appreciate what he does even more.
  17. Anyone else notice he said "WHEN we get promoted" He's getting as confident as the rest of us
  18. Everyone's saying he's been good this season but I've not seen it at all. The games still pass him by I think. There's maybe been a slight improvement but nothing major. I've been trying to judge him based only on his performances this season but it's hard to forget how spineless and ineffective he was last season, so maybe I'm being overly critical and he is playing well but I can't see it. To answer the question; no I wouldn't give him a deal
  19. That's definitely possible but where does that leave Nicky Law? He was one of the worst of a bad bunch and yet he's played near enough every minute. Personally I'd have Murdoch in the team before Law and Shiels but I guess there's a reason behind it. MW sees them everyday I suppose.
  20. Sufficient as back-up, no one is debating that. But why play someone unnecessarily when you have better players available?
