  1. We live in a world where the word "blackboard" is deemed racist. The word "manhole" is deemed sexist. The word "normal" is considered transphobic. The word "queer" is deemed homophobic. The word "brainstorm" is deemed offensive to people with epilepsy. But the word "H**" is supposedly fine? I have always been of the opinion that there is no such thing as bad language, nobody should take offence at mere words, but there is a sickening double standard at the centre of all this. One law, one standard, for a particular section of the community (us), a completely different law for the rest. It is discrimination pure and simple.
  2. Spot on. Garner, like every striker, needs confidence. POTM would be a big boost.
  3. FIFA are an absolute farce. The crest of every national football team, every national association, is political. Absolute c**ts.
  4. Still cannae stand him. But he deserves credit for that performance the day.
  5. We desperately need an enforcer, someone who knows how to get under the skin of the opposition. But with Warburton in charge we won't get wan. Souness' moustache is harder than most of this present team.
  6. But if Warburton dropped his obsession with the slow and predictable 4-3-3 it might improve how we move the ball. Maybe. But maybe yer right.
  7. Exactly my point. How many potato enthusiasts sought refuge in Scotland, 40,000, 50,000? The Yanks wouldn't even have noticed an extra 50k.
  8. Altruism can be a dangerous trait in an individual, in a whole nation it is disastrous. When boat loads of illiterate, violent, sexually deviant religious fanatics turned up at Scottish ports they should've been greeted by an armed mob and told to turn around. The Yanks would've been stupid enough to take them in. If they made it across the Atlantic. Let's face it, the world wouldn't have missed them much if they hadn't.
  9. Police Scotland are a corrupt, sectarian, politically motivated and untrustworthy organisation, wholly unfit for purpose and as such should be disbanded and replaced with police service which commands the respect of all sections of Scottish society, regardless of religious persuasion, ethnicity, political opinion or footballing allegiance. POLICE SCOTLAND = SNP STORMTROOPERS
  10. Is one really that much better than the other? They're both decent keepers imo. If MW wants to play Gilks in the cups then so be it. Hopefully Gilks will be playing at least one cup final this season.
  11. A good result, a half decent performance from what I saw of the match (the first half and about 20 minutes of the second). The same problems as have been evident all season but it might take a good while to fix those problems. Think most of us would've taken a 1-0 win before the game.
  12. Great effort from our great club. What Rangers, and to a lesser extent Linfield, have done for Ryan's family is absolutely fantastic and I know it is all deeply appreciated. I think all the tributes from fellow supporters, the fund raising efforts and the gestures by the club, especially management and playerst making the effort to come over for the funeral, has been a comfort to the family. A considerable comfort imo. I know the minutes silence before last night's match was also very much appreciated. Once again the Rangers family have shown the class which sets us apart amongst all others.
  13. This sort of thing is inevitable. Champions league will become a closed shop, leaving big and medium sized clubs in unfashionable leagues no other alternative but to join set ups like the Atlantic League. There will be something like this Atlantic league for clubs in northwest Europe, a 'Mitropa' league for the Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Slovak clubs etc. and some other set up for the Ukrainian, Russian, Serbian and Greek clubs. There could potentially be four or five such leagues across Europe. It'll happen sooner or later and is the logical end result of turning football into a business. Is it a good thing? I don't know but I'd say it probably is. At least we'd receive fair and unbiased treatment from the league authorities, and Penn State FC would be only ta/gs in the league (unless the Portuguese join)

  15. "Beware Greeks bearing gifts" and ta/gs seeming reasonable.
  16. One of the lesser wans but I've always been proud of the fact that we were the first British club to reach a European final.
  17. "My life does not revolve around football, unlike some knuckledraggers. My life does not revolve around a website or social media, unlike some knuckledraggers" Grammatically he has implied that he is also a knuckledragger (sic). Schoolboy error ???
  18. Spot on! I've seen some great players over the years but as a teenager my favourite players were the likes of Alec Cleland, Ian Ferguson, Alan McLaren, Erik Bó Andersen and Pieter Huistra. No exactly Balloon D'or winners and not even near being the best players in the side but kids don't think like that.
  19. Metaphysical abstract haiku poetry. Incomprehensible to yer average punter. Like an art installation that's just a big empty space, compelling the viewer to subconsciously project their own interpretation unto it. A conceptual form of abstract prose that seeks to break away from traditional representation of physical objects, scenes, people, actions or expressed emotions, exploring the relationship between intentional silence and the intellectual experience of human perception, at the most fundamental level. A "wordless epic". Compelling the reader to insert meaning, feeling and even metre. An innovative masterpiece, comparable to the greatest works of Keats, Shelley, Emerson, Alighieri, Chaucer or Pablo Neruda. An unconventional, provocative, uncompromising piece of intrinsic artistic merit. But I could be wrong.
