  1. Forget Murty. We want the best for Rangers, whoever that may be. The best is currently and, by a long way, Clarke. He might say no but, for fucks sake, we at least have to ask the question.
  2. Not at all surprised by that result sadly. Clarke is the best manager in Scotland by a country mile. However his players are no better than ours (Mulumbu apart) and I would confidently predict that a Clarke-led Rangers with a couple of new CBs would win the title next year. Murty has had his chance. Nice guy, credit to the club etc etc but that’s no longer enough. Make it happen Rangers FFS.
  3. Actually David did no such thing. Fucking Aussie Tim did it, yet another "accident" this season.
  4. Never mind Aidan Wilson, Jocky Wilson is better than Cardoso
  5. Must have been a different game but that is definitely Chivers
  6. The great Martin Chivers plus Dave Smith apparently picking his nose!!
  7. No way he'll come out of retirement to play for us again...
  8. I have some sympathy with your view (Morelos sticks away the tap in and I truly believe we’d have found a winner) but Murty had a puzzle to solve yesterday and he was found wanting. They were down to ten men, no right backs in their squad, Boyata trying to be the new Ambrose and we had more than matched them to that point. Murty should never have lost from that position. Managers like Clarke, Lennon and Wright would not have lost in my opinion. What was needed was removing Alves or Cardoso plus Goss and bringing on Holt and Cummings. Tell Candieas and Murphy to hug the touch line and stretch the game to maximise the extra man. Instead we panicked, lost our composure and stopped doing the things we did well at the start. For all the disparity of resources, that game was there for us yesterday although I’m not convinced we’d have gone on to win the league anyway. The cup tie is his final audition. Nothing less than a win is acceptable. Otherwise it’s phone calls to Killie or St Mirren to seek permission to speak to their manager.
  9. The only thing that can save him now is a win in the cup AND winning the final. Even that might not be enough for some but it is now a minimum requirement if he has any hope of staying in charge. Personally I'd be talking to Stevie Clarke's agent today.
  10. Anyone know if he's ever played centre half? ? He's as mobile as a wardrobe wi' a dead body in it. On my way to pick him up now and get him to the airport nice and early. Three months early. What's Mexican for "don't let the door hit yer arse on the way out"?
  11. Easy for me to say but I'd tell the SFA to get to fuck until historic cover up of child rape is addressed and punished.
  12. Unlikely Bates will make the cup game so our number one priority is get Martin fit and wrap him in cotton wool. Promote the best young CB (would have gone with Aidan Wilson but he's away on loan) from the youth team and tell Cardoso and Alves to clear out their kit. If we do nothing else in the summer we need two proper CBs
  13. I’d open with that line, get them on your good side right away?
  14. “Of yourself a merry little Christmas”
  15. What exactly would they have written all week if we hadn’t cheered at the news of the cup draw? That is the only angle they’ve got (weak though it may be) and Murty and the players have given them nothing to twist or use against us. That cheer is literally all that our friends in the media (fucking sarcasm is catching) have had to go on. I really hope the calmness and cool heads continue through the game because I think scum like Brown will try to wind up newbies like Goss, Murphy and especially, Docherty.
  16. Maybe a compromise of a 4K basic with bonuses based on appearances might be the answer? If his good work continues or improves, he’ll know there’s more in the pot for him. Either way, he’s doing us a turn for relatively little money and is better value than many that we’ve signed in recent years. Wish we had two of him for tomorrow
  17. Came from behind in Amsterdam myself once or twice.....
  18. Because, at 4K per week, I believe he was underpaid and his club were banking on the boy’s love of his team. They no doubt offered the new dealbased on performances and to reflect his higher profile but also the increased likelihood of an offer coming in. Bates seems happy enough but I don’t know what he would say to an offer of 15k per week from a Cardiff or a Fulham? Having let Wilson go, Alves presumably offski, Martin in his thirties and Cardoso a major let down, I think 5 or 6 grand a week to retain a solid performer is good business. To replace him (say someone like Hendry who went to the scum), we’d need to offer more than that.
  19. Tierney was on 4K per week until his new contract signed Oct last year. (his uncle is a customer of mine). Bates is now a first team regular and has to be worth 5k a week.
  20. Great player but I’ll always be annoyed at him for selling a Portuguese pup to the gullible Robertson. Played on his Ibrox goodwill to get his client a job.
  21. Objects in the rear view mirror may be closer than they appear
  22. I know which one has the better garden if that helps? Or maybe one is good with a rake and the other looks like a rake?
