    1. His ability to score goals.
    2. His ability to create goals.
    3. His ability at set-pieces.
    4. We would struggle to find a better full-back in our price range.

Offered just as much going forward this season as James Forrest (who was nominated for POTY):

Tavernier is the best attacking full0back in the league which is why EPL clubs are interested in him.  Our defense has been poor this season but all the blame doesn't rest with James Tavernier.  I've stated previously, when Tierney goes forward for celtic they go with a back three and have a capable CDM in Brown covering for him.  Tavernier is a huge asset for us and the best RB we've had since Hutton a decade ago.

Where on this thread have you said every one in the defence was shite? You haven't, just more exaggeration / bullshit like your "walk past" comments.
One makes a mistake, punt him you say. Even though it was only allowing a fast player to beat him for pace after 90 minutes. But Holt was just shit for getting sent off (No punt him comment there ) and Bates who gave away a pen and could easily have seen red appears to have escaped your criticism.

Aye I seen a fresh substitute who’s fast anyway fly past a player who tried like fuck for 90 odd mins, tav has his faults we all know about them but he’s not that bad he needs a thread on him not in this team anyway

No blinkers from me. I acknowledge that he is not the best defensively but he is not the worst and he played well today by comparison.
Lets see what the new gaffer thinks of him

Calm the fuck down. He was up and down that wing all game today. His energy levels were fantastic.
No wonder he could keep Barker out, he comes on fresh with the ability to burst past players and he’s up against someone who ran himself to the ground today.
    What do you expect.

So he didn't "walk past" him as youve posted a couple of times? Thought not.
It was poor. But he put more into that game than any other. I'll spare him being fucked at the end of the game whilst you blame him but don't criticise others equally or more culpable.

Being good and being least bad are not the same thing. David Bates was never the future of Rangers.

I have to say as much as I don’t mind Bates, lauding him as the saviour to our defensive problems is symptomatic of how much our club has fallen. He’s ok but without doubt he’s limited. The bottom line is he’s not Rangers quality, let’s not lose sight of what we should actually be aspiring to, rather than fall in line with the woeful ambition of our horrific board.

That's what you were suggesting as you brought up and compared him to Alves and his wages.
For the number of games played and the percentage of an increase he was offered was fair in my opinion.

Every time someone goes out of contract we should only re-sign them if they improve us.
We have 4 CH slots, for me one should be a development player stepping up (Aidan Wilson). We need two more new better CHs. Leaves one slot. We are already paying contracted Alves and Cardoso.
Effectively you are wanting to spend any CH budget and slot on Bates, and give a new manager no flexibility at all.
I'm not saying he didn't do better than Alves and Cardoso. I'm saying the fact he's out of contract and they're not means it was the right thing to let him go.

It will never become a fact no matter how often it's repeated.  The SPFL have made it clear Rangers are the same club.  A bookie saying we aren't on twitter doesn't change that.

Not often you’ll see such raw emotion as that as a manager.
Not getting too carried away, he needs to install that in the players for every game and training session.

He wouldn't have been my choice but do you know is my choice? To get on board the G-Force hype train and hope for the best and enjoy the optimism cause we all need it, and as a club, deserve it.

The club took in £5.875 million of additional interest free loans to help boost its working capital in the year to June, 2017 - bringing the total of interest free unsecured loans at that point to £15.9 million. The club also has finance lease agreements totalling £0.5 million.
The club chairman Dave King, who took the reins of the club two years ago, said "the intention" of the loans advanced is that they are converted to shares.

If you look at the last accounts (to June 2017) you will see that at that time the loans balance was £15.9 million and of this £12.9million is repayable in July 2018 and £3.0 million is repayable on December 2018.  Until these dates the lenders can do nothing.   If they were to demand payment they have no automatic right to appoint an administrator because the loans are not secured. They would have to petition the court and this would be problematic as they are also running the company so a court would probably refuse to protect the other creditors.   Also, King guaranteed to continue funding (as stated in the going concern part of the accounts) so he cannot refuse to provide funds in the event of ongoing cash flow shortfall which would in itself be a reason for the board to enter administration as it is illegal to trade insolvently.
The dangerous creditor is Close Bros for their £3.0m loan as it IS secured and they therefore have the right to appoint an administrator without leave of court in the event of default.
