  1. Dude, you'll notice that the co-efficient payments are in this and not in your previous chart form 17/18 Note that the 4 English teams shared 68.7m market pool (Scotland gets 10% of this if we have a qualifier) Look at AEK who were bottom ranked on the coefficients - Participation 14.5m (now 15.25) Coefficient 1 x 1.08m (now 1.137m) TV market pool 2.6m - no points in group - Total 18.2m euros (£15.3m)
  2. Distribution method has changed since then There's now a huge pot for 10 year coefficient rankings and the TV market pool is much reduced (300.3 euros in total) English teams take the largest share (about 23%) If a Scottish team qualifies they get 10% of the English pool (if both get to groups this is split 55% to champions and 45% to runners up) Based on this season the tarriers would have been 8th lowest and us 3rd lowest on the coefficient rankings. You get 1.137m x 8 for them (9.096m) or x 3 for us (3.411) They would have got 5.6m euro (£4.7m) more than us based on coefficient payments and that would be similar if both qualify next season If they qualify alone next year they'd get 15.25 participation + 9.096 coefficient (this could move up or down by a couple of places depending on who else qualifies) + 6.8 tv = 31m euros (£26m) - only winning enough points to qualify from the group would reach the figures your suggesting If we both qualify and then won no games (a possibility) they'd get 3.1m less due to splitting tv and we'd get 3.7m less (this assumes they win the league and we qualify via qualifiers and they get 55% to our 45%) Their 31m euros would be about 28.3m (£23.8m) and our 25.5m would be 22.4m euros (£18.8m) - just under £43m between us plus any game cash we can win No Scottish club will be anywhere near the mythical £40m unless they get out of the CL group top 2 or finish 3rd and drop to the EL and go on a good run o at least the QF From UEFA website...... Share for 32 clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League forecast amounts (The net revenue will be divided into four different pillars)100%€2002m 1 starting fees 25% €500.5m 2 performance-related fixed amounts 30% €600.6m 3 ten-year performance-based coefficient rankings 30% €600.6m 4 variable amounts (market pool) 15% €300.3m
  3. We'd get 15.25m euros for qualifying Our 10 year coefficient payment would be the third lowest this season giving 3 x 1.137m = 3.411m euros TV market pool would be 10% of the English pot giving around 6.8m euros Total of around 25.5m euros - around £21.5m if we get beaten 6 times 2.8m per win and 930k per draw in the games Home gates would add a further £7m or so £35 to 40m figure from UEFA alone would require finishing second in a CL group
  4. I saw he got the new deal and assumed he was impressing, he certainly has the physical attributes Was hoping for another Bassey scenario. Must be training well to merit a deal......... like Andy Firth
  5. Elfideldo, what do yo think of the lad Yfeko that we signed in January. Have you seen much of him?
  6. Sorry mate but that's complete nonsense The team that drew 5-5 with Hibs just before that close season was Alnwick Tav. Bates. Martin. Halliday Rossiter. Goss. Holt Candieas Cummings. Murphy Subs. Kelly, Hodson, Alves, Docherty, O'Halloran, Windass, Herrera We cleared virtually the whole lot out for 2 bottles of Irn Bru and old Shoot magazine We're currently a good result away from a Europa Cup semi-final with a squad with multiple internationalists and worth 10s of millions of pounds We'll earn well over £20m from Europe, got £10m + for Patterson, Gerrard compensation and will sell 3/4 players for 10s of millions and will absolutely invest decent money adding to a squad with some very good players as a base Light years from 2018 mate
  7. Covid apparently, which tbf would make sense as he was only described as being unavailable
  8. Spot on mate Fat Ange will be booting a water bottle at weans in the stand when County score a late winner just like yellow fangs in the highlands in 2011 We beat them at the theatre of screams and it's game on Last day - bears in Edinburgh, tarriers playing Motherwell........ helicopter on stand by......... where's Scott McDonald these days? Pretty straightforward stuff mate
  9. Maybe they just didn't realise when the semi would be played Easy mistake to make
  10. Scum game should have been first 100% Now it's Potential title clincher - they said they wanted to avoid Bank holiday weekend/potential title clincher - that worked out well before Sandwiched between potential European semi final games for a Scottish club for the first time in 14 years - very helpful Computers eh?
  11. He could try to get the whole thing sponsored by Peter VARdy................. then again Doogie P would kibosh that.
  12. 55 appearances in 3 seasons (assuming that's him dine for this season) Slow, awkward looking and never available On a positive note I thought King done well
  13. Agree he could have dropped Greegs but his Euro form kept him in and continues to do so I understand standing by him after RC but think he should have been dropped after Motherwell where I thought he was at fault for both goals
  14. Three of those Ross County, Hearts and Motherwell 2-2 were down to Greegs - 6 points gone because he didn't do simple basics. That's on Greegs not Gio Refs staring straight at blatant shirt pulls and deciding to give us nothing is on the refs not Gio Three easy saves made and two straightforward penalty calls given and we'd be 5 points clear at the top
  15. These spineless bastards are one good performance away from a European semi-final ffs We're all frustrated but sometimes we lose perspective of where we were 5 years ago and 10 years ago No team full of spineless bastards will be playing 1/4 and semi-final Europa League
  16. That's why I put in 0 - 2m mate I'd settle for 0 if it got them off the wage bill but chances are they may just end up on loans
  17. I agree Ross Wilson is an easy target though - he has much to do and prove but for me Gerrard shoulders more of the blame as he wanted to keep everyone when the process of evolvement should have started last year, freshening things up in stages rather than wholesale which is where we are now It now needs a massive rebuild which is scary but exciting at the same time Wages freed - no fees McGregor 15k Goldson 20k Davis 15k Arfield 15k Katic 7k Middleton 4k Kelly 3k Firth 3k Total £82k Fees and Wages Aribo 10k 8 - 10m Kent. 25k 10 - 15m Alfredo 25k 10 - 15m Barisic 15k 3 - 4m Helander 15k 2 - 3m Totals £90k. £33 - 47m The only two I'd offer new deals are Kent and Alfredo......... as others have said though if we keep Alfredo we absolutely need a similar back up that avoids us needing to change our whole system when he's not playing Wish list / deadwood - small or no fees to get off wage bill, simply not good enough or in the picture Itten 8k. 1m Simpson 5k 0,5m Wright 5k 0,5m Hastie 4k 0.2m Total £22k £0 - 2.2m Up to 17 out with between £150k - £200k pw in wages and maybe £30m - £50m in fees Personally I'd give Balogun another year and try to sell Helander as he's rarely available and entering his final year McCrorie, McLaughlin, NEW KEEPER Tav, Zukowski Bassey, NEW LB Souttar, Balogun or Helander, King, NEW CB (possibly 2 if Balogun and Helander both go) Doekhi for free? Jack, Lundstram, Kamara, Sands Hagi, Lowry, McCann, NEW CAM x 2 Roofe, Sakala, NEW CF (x 2 if Alfredo goes), NEW WINGER (x 2 if Kent goes) If I was Gio I'd relish the challenge to build my squad on top of some good players that will be staying 8 - 10 new signings required, King Lowry and McCann added to first team squad, lots of wages freed up to work with That's the reality of where we are and what's needed. If it worries him rather than excites him he should go
  18. The only way we could (or now can) invest significantly is by generating funds via selling Gerrard wanted to keep everyone (he got his way) AND add quality - but we had just come off the back of over £20m + loss and that wasn't realistic especially when we failed to qualify for CL. Gerrard from that point on was out of the building imo. He had a whine about needing better quality in September and was offski in November On the tarriers, they spent less than they raised (Edouard, Christie, Ajer, + Klimala and Frimpong in Jan raised over £40m) and we need to start selling when the time is right and re-investing all or most of what we raise As you say, last year was the time to start but Gerrard put the brakes on that
  19. Yep, Clancy waved a yellow card at him - but it wasn't a booking mind you............ his only booking came a bit later, the first one was just a wee warning wave of a card The day that Clancy confirmed himself a shameless cheat and he's never looked back
  20. My bro told him to behave and that he was only ever going to hit a fellow bear. No surprise that he spent the next 2 minutes threatening to punch his head in cos it had fuck all to do with him Clown looked about 30+, no a daft wee ned - embarrassment to himself and our fans/club Back in the 70s I was in the Rangers end at Hampden about half way down when a bottle flew over us and burst a bears head open. Same sort of brainless dickhead thought he would hit a tarrier at the other end of the stadium and achieved about 50ft and a bottled bear
  21. Full time on Sunday and some fuckwit decides to throw a coin at the tarriers from the middle of the Govan, only ever going to hit a bear Coin throwing = brainless cowardly dickhead Coin throwing hitting fellow bears = brainless cowardly dickhead x 10 If you're on here and reading this have a word with yourself ffs
