This is when we will see what Beale ideas are for the team bar a few he may leave out due to injuries like Roofe and Lawrence.

I'm talking more about the group stages from September on

Goldson, Sterling, Roofe, Sterling are unlikely to feature in the first qualifier but some of them may make the second qualifier if we beat Genk/Servette

  2. Assuming that the new signings with the exception of Balogun will make the squad there are some big names going to be missing the cut

    Almost certain (15)
    Butland

Tavernier, Goldson, Davies (replacement), Yilmaz, Barasic (replacement) Sterling

    Raskin, Cantwell, Cifuentes*, Dowell,

    Lammers, Dessers, Danilo, Sima

2 from TEN - who gets the nod?

Balogun, Lundstram, Hagi, Roofe, Sakala, Matondo, Lawrence, Kamara*, McLaughlin, Yfeko (will count as club trained after January)

For me it would be Lawrence and Roofe

    Association trained

    Jack, Souttar, Wright*

    Club trained (over22)

    McCrorie, Wright

Club trained (under 22 with 2 years at club)

    Devine, King, Lowry

Also I believe Rice and Lovelace get an exemption as they’re too young to achieve the 2 year criteria

    Big decisions to be made

Where has this 'safety' point come from?

Their fans are as safe at Ibrox as ours are at theirs.

It's almost as if its made up disingenuous bullshit.

They could, of course, prove it's genuine concern by refusing away tickets at any ground on the basis that someone might throw something and someone might get hurt

So it's being agreed now, for the next 2 games.

If we're doing well, before the next home OF game should we offer them more ibrox tickets so they reciprocate for the final away one? Do you think they'd accept?

Surely not as the safety of even more fans wouldn't be guaranteed?

Or are they saying that if they get what they want either fan safety doesn't matter anymore or no-one could/would throw a missile

They wouldn't do that as they're genuine, honest as the day is long, sporting integrity loving good guys. They're not the type of scum that would make false claims you know

Stuff being thrown. There was a video of someone being skelped with a glass bottle

Same shit happens to us at the theatre of screams

I assume they are refusing their allocations for Tynecastle and Pittodrie on safety grounds?

Obviously the won't just be devious, disingenuous, snide, manipulative cunts who are spitting the dummy cos they're not getting their own way

Booking non-refundable flights and accommodation to Sevilla after the first leg of the Braga game is probably the most money I've 'won' in relation to Rangers.

After Braga away booked for my son and I

Return flights to Faro - £140 each (£14 cancellation fee Opodo Prime)

Taxi for 8 from Faro to Seville £90pp (free cancellation)

Airbnb in Seville for 2 nights for 8 (became 11 - couches and an airbed) £120pp (free cancellation until 5 days before)

Got 4 tickets from UEFA ballot Tier 1 £130 and a free MyGers

On day of semi stuck £200 on us to qualify at 9/2 and won £1,100

After paying for drinks meals and transfers in UK the whole trip cost less than £150 for the two of us

Best 6 weeks ever, shame about the result

What’s the situation regarding European tournaments this season .I heard that things have changed and there is no dropping down to the tournament below after the group stages .

    Thats from 24/25

Remember us being linked with this guy for 6 months. Now the Italian champions apparently want him.

Yes, he chose the Bundesliga over the SPFL, had a stormer of a season qualifying for the CL and now Napoli want him for £15m+

    Free transfer too

Think it's only one point for qualifying for the CL.

I'm no gonna moan if we make the CL, having the cash in the bank is worth allot, Vs the chance to make more.

I just think that we would be odds on to make the CWC if we go into the EL, I think we would be massive underdogs if we went into the CL.

I wouldn't fancy us picking up much at all from the top 2 seeds in the CL group and depending on who we get as 4th seed, someone like Newcastle could make it near on impossible.

Even if we did get 3rd, I think it would be with very few points.

The EL I would expect us to pick up far more points with the calibre of team we would most likely be up against.

4 points for qualifying for CL

Zagreb getting to CL is key. If they do and we do, no big deal since we will both be in Pot 3. If they do and we don’t, we will be in EL Pot 1. If they don’t and we don’t, we will almost certainly be in EL Pot 2 and could draw Liverpool, Ajax, West Ham, Villareal, Roma or Leverkusen.

Of course I want CL football.

I think we'd both be Pot 1 at the expense of Sporting Lisbon (52.5) and Rennes (44)?

All games matter including qualifiers for coefficient rankings as far as I’m aware

Sure our 4 qualifier seasons against teams like St Joseph’s was a big reason for the amount of coefficient points we were racking up

Same reason teams that never make Europe have some coefficient points

Qualifiers count toward the country coefficient

There's no points for teams unless you're eliminated and then you get 2 points or something

Team points start from group stages

I understand your point. I guess if you are in England you would say shoukd Rangers get there before Arsenal.

Even if City won all 4, as it stands Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U and Spurs would qualify before Arsenal who wouldn't make it

Unless they win CL next year the likes of Man U, Spurs, Arsenal, Athletico, Roma, Inter, Napoli and Dortmund won't be going

If absolute fairness was the aim I suppose they'd just give the 12 places to the top 12 ranked so at least we have a chance under the current criteria.

Would be outstanding to get there, essentially a World Cup for for the bears. We'd be one of the best supported teams there I'd guess

  13. 25 minutes ago, Brubear said:

Yes. They would be entitled to 3 from the CL winners toute and 1 from top 8 coefficient scores. As they only use 2 of their CL winners they transfer the unused 1 to the top coefficient route which is now 9.

In reality 1 country could have a maximum of 5 if clubs from rhe same country won the CL each of tge 4 years, whether that is 4 different clubs or the same club 4 times.

I get the rationale if it was 4 different winners but if, say, PSG won 4 straight CLs then 4 French teams Lyon (rank 26), Marseille (53), Lille (59) and Monaco (60) would all qualify too

Seems ridiculous to me (not questioning your knowledge, just can't see any fairness)

So I assume the better the tournament the more points you get winning matches etc??

No, you get 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw in all 3 competitions

There is a 4 point bonus for qualifying for the CL but realistically the best we could expect is 3/4 points from our pot 4 opponent (we'd want to avoid Newcastle and Union Berlin)

We could get lucky with pot 1 (Feyenoord or Benfica?) and there's options in pot 2 we might get points off (Dortmund, Liepzig, Porto?)

Lucky draw - Feyenoord, Liepzig, weakest qualifier

Knowing our luck - PSG, Real Madrid, Newcastle

It is only based of 4 years including the coming season, so at this point usjng last 3 seasons we are on 38 snd Brugge 35.

Brugge being in the Conference League isn't good news

We either need to get third in CL and drop to the Europa or drop to Europa by not qualifying for CL to try to stay ahead

Pre VAR they had conceded 0

Since VAR they've conceded 7 of which only one (ours) was awarded by the ref

Thats 6 penalties they would have gotten away without VAR

In other news, since VAR we have been awarded 7 penalties

Only two by the refs and 5 via VAR some of which were blatant

So we would be 5 penalties down and they would have conceded 6 less penalties in less than 6 months that includes a month off for the World Cup

    Masons though

Seemingly the tarriers have conceded more penalties in the league this season than they have in the last 2 decades,

And how many have we got that the ref missed first time around

It may look fucking awful but VAR has benefitted us and stopped them getting away with the shit they have been for years now

Pre VAR they had conceded 0

Since VAR they've conceded 7 of which only one (ours) was awarded by the ref

Thats 6 penalties they would have gotten away without VAR
