  1. Even after his injury he was still pretty good for us, especially the treble season in 03.
  2. Considering where he came from and what we paid for him I think he’s done reasonably well. I think he has the potential to improve and we should make sure that’s with us as we’re not in the position to buy the finished product anymore. Saying that, some of his misses have been infuriating - especially against the tims.
  3. When we drew 0-0 there in December our central defensive partnership was Wilson and Bates (after Alves limped off after 15 minutes). Im still unsure why we let both of them go, especially considering our uninspiring options at the back for Sunday.
  4. Depressing options. Not many will admit it but Miller will be a big miss.
  5. He changed the entire philosophy at Arsenal. For decades they were known as dour, functional and boring. The ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ and ‘boring Arsenal’ jibes are now consigned to the past and that’s all down to Wenger. His efforts should be appreciated by anyone old enough to remember the Arsenal offside trap, even if he did stay on too long.
  6. I don’t think we really do This protesting stuff. We tend to just drift away like the early 80’s.
  7. Souness bossed this game like the magnificent bastard he was and is. That’s what we need. Someone to swagger in with a streak of arrogance about them.
  8. That wasn’t a bad team that season despite finishing 5th. Most of the team won the league the next season but with Woods, Butcher and then Roberts added. Guys like Jimmy Nic, Tin Man, Munro, Coops, etc found a different level under the magnificent bastard Souness. That’s the kind of shake up we need this summer.
  9. They’re out of touch with themselves. Theyve went from ‘going for 55’ in 2016 to ‘ahead of the curve’ not even 2 years later while we’re in a 3 way fight for 2nd. Theyll spin any old shite as long as we keep coughing up our hard earned.
  10. I feel sorry for him to an extent in that he’s been put in an impossible situation and is out of his depth but he really should have walked after Sunday. Carrying on in the role isn’t doing himself, the players or the fans any good. The only people gaining from it is the board.
  11. There doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. The nightmare just goes on and on and on...
  12. Being scared of the ball and putting a tackle in has nothing to do with tactics but everything to do with mentality.
  13. Dallas Cowboys? I don’t remember that. I presume it’s something to do with that creep Green though.
  14. We seem to have developed an inferiority complex against the scum, we don’t seem to believe we can beat them. Even in the 3-2 game last month, when they went down to 10 men we just froze and couldn’t take advantage.
  15. Walters last season was pretty turbulent on the pitch. 7 oldfirm games, Diouf signing, Ally and Lennon squaring up, Papes targeting refs, reasonable Euro campaign, last minute winners and comebacks galore. One of my favourite ever seasons that. Fuckin magic.
  16. Lost all confidence in the board. Took a while but there’s no way back for them keeping Murty in charge for so long. Like the previous regime and McDowall, treating the support like mugs as long as we pay our money.
