Genuinelly cannot comprehend why people would play Lafferty ahead of Defoe in a 4-5-1. Defoe is about 5 classes above Lafferty in every department except height. Defoe has spent his career playing against the likes of Vidic, Ferdinand, Terry, Carragher and numerous others. A fair few fucking times upfront on his own. He might not be as strong as Morelos but his football brain is twice as good as Alfredo. Lafferty should not be anywhere near the starting 11 tomorrow.

the only formation that would make sense for me with these two is the narrow 4-4-2. Midfield four of Arfield, Davis, Jack and Kent. Barisic and Tavernier offering the attacking width. Would work in theory at home especially to weaker teams.
