Amac9 2,060
Michael Owen will become the Manchester Kris Boyd. Did you steal that from The Gaurdians article earlier on? No. I have been saying this all day to my mates. This is the first time I have been online all day I'm just winding you up mate You joker

Danny 9
Quite possibly the smartest signing made yet. And didn't cost Utd a dime.

papaguy51 912
Quite possibly the smartest signing made yet. And didn't cost Utd a dime. Apart from the £40k a week basic. And probably that again for a win. If he flops, it'll still cost them a fair amount I think.
EastEnclosureBear 2,970
How weird is it seeing Michael Owen in a Manchester United top
papaguy51 912
This loyalty thing that people talk about. Owen, the boyhood Everton fan signs for Liverpool and THEN Man Utd - talk about trying to piss everyone off!
Danny 9
Quite possibly the smartest signing made yet. And didn't cost Utd a dime. Apart from the £40k a week basic. Heard it was 20K. And probably that again for a win. If he flops, it'll still cost them a fair amount I think. He won't flop unless he gets injured. He's too good a player to flop - he never actually has. Danny 9
This loyalty thing that people talk about. Owen, the boyhood Everton fan signs for Liverpool and THEN Man Utd - talk about trying to piss everyone off! I don't think the Liverpool fans will boo him because everyone knows that was his preferred choice, but Benitez has never made any moves to sign him. Ok, they hate Man Utd, but they know Owen couldn't turn this chance down. If they boo him, I guess that's football, but it would be so unfair. Andy 69
Hel be worth alot more to Man Utd than Newcastle anyway. 4 years (208 weeks) on at least £100,000= £20.8m in wages (divided by 30 goals) EQUALS £693,333 per goal Found that on some site where all newcastle fans talking about him. Thermopylae 15,287
Quite possibly the smartest signing made yet. And didn't cost Utd a dime. If his problem in recent years has been motivation then Man U have got themself a bargain because it certainly won't be a problem any more. Having said that Stan Collymore made an interesting point that in order to try and cure his recurrent hamstring problems Owen has bulked up his quads and this has ruined his running gate ... so perhaps his problems aren't only psychological

scotty657 1
I think this may turn out to be yet another master stroke by SAF. Owen gets undeserved criticism.
