Whittaker had an absolute nightmare yet again, that boy just cannot defend! His awful performance was closely followed by Lee McCulloch who couldn't string a 10 yard pass together all night.

Kevin Thomson was fucking awful

agree totally how many games does he need to get his fitness back 10 ? 20?

hes the same as he always mr average i thought whittaker was the worst as always papac was nt far behind

and mendes hides when the going gets tough first half we were excellent but after the 1st goal went in

and we opened up they cut through us you can see now why walter plays it cagey we dont have the players

to go gun ho simple as that

They were all amazing. If you think you could do better, prove it.

We kept up with Sevilla, and at times even outplayed them. We didn't have the cutting edge in front of goal, and but for a few dodgy refereeing decisions, we could have won.

We shouldn't have been slack for the first goal, but we were. Whether or not we deserved to lose 4-1, we did. All of the players dropped their heads after the first goal.

Look forward to the Old Firm match and stop complaining. Get behind the team.

Papac was caught out too many times! He was to blame for their first attempt on goal, moved into the central channel, i think he forgets what his position is sometimes!

Whitt was to blame for the first and third goal imo, caught behind the player, even though they were 2 foot tall!

And Rothen was ust that, forgot he was playing at times!

I think Whittaker is by far the worst in the team - weak link. Torn apart at the weekend by the sheep, and tonight he was culpable for at least 2 goals, perhaps another, I'd need to watch it again on TV.

Not the boys fault, he's just way out his depth and certainly not anywhere near good enough for that position or the jersey.

Both Thompson & McCulloch looked tired - again. Thompson in particular seems to be blowing out his arse badly after 30 mins. Papac also had a few howlers.

Sad state of affairs when the CH is the best attacking option.

To be fair, this wasnt a 4.1 game - basic schoolboy defending errors mostly by Whittaker, makes it look worse on paper. I also thought at 1.0 Smith should have gone for it - but no, he MUST wait until 70 minutes.

I just hope we can sort things out in the defence before Sunday.

worst game i've ever saw Bougherra play, he was moronic at times, and this is the highest level opposition he's played against with us, so it makes you wonder if he's as quality as he's made out.

you wont get £8m for him if he plays like that again in Europe. Everyone has a poor game but some of the things he tried were just un-necessary.

Mendes. He never looked like a man with a CL winners medal. A few fancy moves, but his first touch was awful and never took it to them the way he is capable of.

Saying that, half the team was piss in the second half. I hope they are half as dissapointed in themselves as I am.

Has to be Whittaker yet again but remember he was a Hibs reject because of his defensive frailties.Abysmal positioning,no concentration and no idea who he should be close to or marking.

Rothen was very poor, sleeping at the first goal, unable to get past his full back and as a dead ball specialist a complete failure.

Either some of you weren't watching the same game as me, or are letting the result cloud their judgement. McCulloch had a cracking game and Bougherra was brilliant, apart from one dodgy moment in the first half.

Wakey wakey lads.

Papac, Whittaker and Thomson where without a doubt the worst players on the park.

I'd also like to give a shout out to McGregor, if it wasn't for him it would have been much worse.

Papac, Whittaker and Thomson where without a doubt the worst players on the park.

I would agree with that the above statement. I felt that none of them did there job tonight.

Thomson simply doesn't look match fit and always seemed to be in the wrong position for a pass.

I felt Papac let himself down tonight, however that may have been down to his fitness. It meant that Weir, Bougherra and Whittaker had to cover for each other which ultimately lead to most of the goals.

Whittaker needs to be stronger and has to get goal side of his man. He can be a frustrating player at times due to the fact that he can produce some great skill/goals but yet he still fails to do basic things correctly.

I have left out the comment about McCulloch being one of the best players as I feel that both Davis and Naismith had better games tonight. I feel that Lee has been playing well so far this season, however I feel he could be more influential further up the field.

I didnt think whittaker was that bad tbh

Yes he didnt defend as well as he could have, but one or two of his balls into the box were fantastic!

I thought Papac had an awful game, especially in the first half when he tucked in at cb when he should have stayed out on the left. McGregor saved well though.
