Tugay, Thomson, Alex Rae or Buffel?

How can you compare four players who all have completely different styles? Possible only Thomson and Rae are the only two who have similarities and even then KT is 10x the player Rae ever was.

I'd accept the Tugay, Thomson and Rae comparison. Just. But Buffel?!

I would argue that Buffel has more talent than 10 Alex Raes on speed. Never "rae"ted him at all (see what I did there?), seriously, he'd have fitted in well to our 1984 team.

I agree. Point is, Buffel is an attacking player. The other 3 play(ed) a more defensive role for us.

Getting "the point" was never my strong point.

Tugay was one of the best Advocaat signings IMO and came courtesy of a recommendation by Graham Souness (tu). Thomson is good and if he can get anywhere near the level of Tugay then we have a fantastic prospect in our hands.

EDIT: Just thought about Reyna there, another top signing by Advocaat (tu)
