Boab 73
After reading about this; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/dundee_utd/8751470.stmUtd are obviously looking to the future, and good for them, and my first instinct was that they'd be selling Paul Dixon and also with Sean Dillon already there for them at left-back, though perhaps too cynical from me.Would you be pleased with us going for Paul Dixon this season or next? I know I'm putting 2 and 2 and getting 4.5 but its just a thought, nothing more. He's a promising player.
ScottBF2 3,540
I always liked Dixon. He can hit a great cross and looked quite solid when we played them. Saying that I never really watch SPL games outside Rangers, so I don't know if he plays consistently. Can also hit a decent freekick IIRC.
Jonnyboyrfc 296
I rate Dixon but not Dillon
Boab 73
I rate Dixon but not Dillon Wasn't meaning Dillon for us, just mentioning him as to their squad depth.
supermac 115
Paul Dixon will be a very good player I think I'd take him this season as another good season at United will hike his price up more
Boab 73
Would love to said in the OP 'To challenge Gregg Wylde' but I wouldn't be too hopeful on him getting a real chance.Though of course, Gregg can play from the left of midfield also. sillybilly 151
Not for me. I'd rather we used one of our own younger players as back up to sasa at left back
NorthernLights 2,526
Is he better than Smith was?
broxibear87 129
Would take him if the price was right, shouldn't be blowin a large chunk of our budget on a left back while we have Sasa n Wylde.
Muff 245
For the fee Dundee United would want, I wouldn't touch him. Decent defender, not bad going forward, good delivery, positional sense is poor, struggles with crossed balls, a little inconsistant...Personally, I'd rather we looked outwith the SPL and English leagues. Madina 3,867
Dont rate him that highly. Would rather we gace our own youngsters a chance before shelling out on others who are probably on a par with them
Jamie1807 146
I tried to sign him on Football Manager for £1.5m, but Steven Thomson wanted £6m for him.
