PINOTAGE (Wolverhampton 6.30) definitely can’t be described as a solid selection as he has generally been below his best for a while both on the Flat and over hurdles and has always been a bit quirky (flashes his tail and sometimes carries head awkwardly). However, he returns to Polytrack for the first time in over two years, and he’d be very well handicapped if he could return to something like his previous form on this surface (acknowledging that the track at Wolverhampton these days is different to a year or two ago) – his form figures on Polytrack read 313233, all six of those efforts coming off higher marks than today’s. He travelled with a bit more purpose than for a while at Catterick last time and his stable is in really good form, so whilst he definitely wouldn’t be one to back at shortish odds, he might be worth chancing each way as if he is likely to make a comeback, it’s likely to be on Polytrack.

Nice e/w at 20s :-))

Cardiff, Rotherham, Oxford, Burton, Dumbarton and Wolves (postponed).

Should return around £270 for a £2 stake with it now being a 5 fold.

Cardiff at 15/4 with Skybet was too high to turn down.
