allanh91 75
You got a source mate? That's a lot of money in expenses on top of wages...And can't imagine admin would allow it, unless it's in Bill Miller's plans.

TheBluebells 6,898
RANGERS have been invited on a lucrative pre-season tour to China that could provide a shock cash bonanza. The Ibrox club remain in administration, with American tow-truck businessman Bill Miller winning preferred bidder status last week to try and save the financially-stricken club. Manager Ally McCoist spoke earlier this month of his concerns about this pre-season because he could not arrange anything until Rangers' future was decided. But they have been handed a dream chance to complete a pre-season tour and make some cash too if an invite to play in a four-team tournament in China comes off. Rangers would play against hosts Shenzhen Ruby, along with Fulham and La Liga side Real Betis in a July competition. Not only would it provide Rangers with much-needed funds, but it would boost the club's profile in the lucrative Asian market. We are in negotiations about the tour. Real Betis president Michael Guillen However, Rangers' participation depends on their status for next season. Real Betis president Michael Guillen travelled to China at the weekend to finalise details and he said: "We are in negotiations about the tour. "The other clubs involved are Shenzhen, Fulham and Glasgow Rangers, although it depends on their economic situation whether they will take part." RFC55 110,264
So back to the original question bearsWhat other clubs have done this and did they make loads of money from it?Think most of the EPL sides have done it now, with even teams like WIgan and Villa getting decent support over there
allanh91 75
If internal powers in the club (Admin, BM or any other successful bidder) think it's a good move, then I'm all for it.Even if we broke even from it, we could sell our brand

BMC 125
All the top EPL clubs make their Asian and north american tours.. If you are in Beijing in july the top game is Man City vs Arsenal a mate there tells me.Of course it´s about brands and money, but a glamour club make around a £1m per game.
