bloonosed 14
So Pound Sterling, AKA the currency of the United Kingdom? Controlled by the Bank of England. Good luck with that.Well since it was a Scotsman that founded the Bank of England and Scotland is currently in the UK...then i would say that Scotland has some pretty good experience as far as luck would go. Who we would have just pissed off. It's fucking suicide even thinking about it.

As much relevance as the statement you made about scotlands currency being controlled by england. It is also relevant because it shows that Scotsmen are capable of running a banking system (as per banking history)i am not a nationalist by the way. corkinator 611
Ok...suppose I'm right. Why do they want to obliterate Rangers? As there's been a persecution complex amongst Scottish Catholics for nigh on a Century - they feel hated, depised, second-class citizens. They might once have had a point. In 2012 that persecution complex remains but they've a degree of power now and Rangers F.C is the ultimate bastion of what they perceive as 'anti-Catholic' power. Remember all the 'Establishment' stuff? That gets to the root of it. Rangers are the Scottish establishment in their eyes and all that's represented the repression of them and their fathers and their father's fathers. To see the end of Rangers is a an ultimate win for them....the ultimate blow of free Catholics against the Scottish Protestant Establishment...as they see it.It's bigoted ancient nonsense of course but sadly, in 2012, so many Scottish Catholics still feel this way.I know it.And I know many will stop at nothing to eliminate Rangers....for they've been bred to see Rangers as the 'enemy' to them...and their religion.Dramatic? Sorry....just the sad truth of religious Scotland 2012.My mate, who's a tim, keeps going on about how his dad couldn't get a job in the 70s cos he was a catholic, fuck all to do with him being a lazy bone idle bastard tho. They truly are fucking deranged.
corkinator 611
i really dont want to argue the point here, but alot of what you've said is wrong, and you seriously underestimate Scotland as a power, as for the Oil, yes we may not own the rigs, but we do own the fields they lye in, which would take care of itself when it comes to it,if you dont mind, we'll agree to disagree. No we don't own the fields they are owned by the UK GOVERNMENT. Do you really think they are gona say, here ye go.Also I believe a country's water border is 12 miles out, nearly every rig out their is further than that, I work in the industry. Bluepeter9 5,167
Like I said, you've no got any policies, doesn't matter what thread it gets discussed in or what language, Gaelic or Manderin, no policies, nada, zip...I love the way all the anti-snp brigade want to attach their agenda to Rangers by keeping this debate going in the BD and yet are scared (well thats the way it seems to me) to go to the correct forum and start up the debate - perhaps admin should just PIN this thread here as this debate will go on for at least the next 2.5 years!! Be a rude awakening for some if he does manage to con his way to an independent Scotland, scares the life out of me personally..And whens he gonna actually add some sustenance to his argument for an independent Scotland? And the borders can go out to 200 miles, not 12 miles. Most of the money comes from the revenues - the 60-70% tax on each barrel of oil. Then the companies are taxed again on their profits.Around 90% of the oil is in Scottish waters - according to international law. Most of my guys I know who work in the industry know the real story. One of my mates works with Faroe, and says all the Norwegian guys feel sorry for us.
