Professor_Chang 1,055
Why are you hopeful he'll improve? You his da?Because he is going to a league far, far superior from here. Lisbon is a pretty good club with a cracking youth set up. And him improving will be good for the national team.
the goal machine 7,803
Mehdi Benatia to City for 30m according to the Mirror. He was brilliant for Roma last season and they could really use another top-class centre back.

WilliamFyfe 1,438
Can't see both Cech and Courtois staying. Neither will be second fiddle.I was trying to find the thread on that. Cech could play #1 for another 10 years. Thibaut Courtois could be 20 years.
CoatbridgeBear 7,113
Newcastle sign Siem de Jong on 6 year deal.Great signing Newcastle are mad with the crazy length contracts though!
ClydebankBearWATP 877
Quality English players are at a premium, there aren't many of them so when one comes along they are that coveted by the big clubs they are so overpriced it's unreal. Won't change until they are being churned out regularly. Barkley will be the same when he eventually moves, another good season it will be 25 million plus. It is a farce but just the way the market is. Every big English club wants to have a good English talent at their core.
BlueSuedeSambas 53,800
I really rate Lallana but at 25 million he's overpriced.I do think a lot of that is possibly down to the sell on that Bournmouth are due as well though. If a smaller percentage was going to them then Liverpool would have got him for a bit less than what they did IMO.

If a smaller percentage was going to them then Liverpool would have got him for a bit less than what they did IMO.During negotiations Southampton would have had a figure that they wanted to receive once all percentages and clauses had been honoured. The bigger price just reflects that Liverpool have paid the clauses, rather than it coming out of Southampton's transfer fee.

Goes by players like they aren't even there.Hopefully stays at Everton for a few years yet and improves even more under Martinez.
